Years ago I had a TomTom that navigated beautifully but there were issues updating the maps without losing your favorites. The routes followed Yahoo Map routes almost exactly. I then got a Garmin that was easier to update but often took me on wild goose chases. I still have the Garmin but don't always trust it. I bought this Go Classic, loaded with EU maps for a trip to Italy. I assumed it would be as reliable as the one I had 20 years ago and I wouldn't have to rely on questionable cell service for nav. What a mistake!! Unlike my old TomTom and just like my Garmin, this Go Classic had a nasty habit of sending me down dead ends, around in circles and onto roads which may not have had a motor vehicle on them for 100 years or more. Too often it would route me on to a road then 1/2 mile along it would tell me to turn around. A number of times I traveled from Town A to Town B, quite successfully. Then later in the day, when trying to get back to Town B it took me on a Magical Mystery Tour. Because of this deeply flawed navigation programming, I missed out on events, did not get to see places I wanted to see, wasted enormous amounts of time and gas (at $11/gal) and sometimes put my life or the safety of the vehicle at risk. After talking with a number of locals about this, they all said to ditch the TomTom and stick with Google Maps on my phone. I arrived home on the last day of the product return window so now I'm stuck with a GPS I'll never use again. I recommend you avoid these issues and DO NOT BUY this product.

Wish we had read the reviews! This is EU and my husband overlooked that little detail. Very disappointed in TomTom for no longer producing an AFFORDABLE US version of their product. We have exclusively purchased TomTom for 20 years or more and when my husband's device died, we automatically sought to purchase a another one. He likes to have both the car's GPS and the device running simultaneously. The USA models are outrageously priced! Disappointed in TomTom.

I disliked the fact that it was in another language other than English. It could not be changed.

You sent me a Tom Tom that was not compatible in the US. I had to send it back 😕

No where does it say it a Europe and not a USA GPS now it will cost me $198.00 to ship it back, it's a ripoff!!!!

Da mein altes TomTom Navi nicht mehr startete, habe ich mir als Ersatz dieses günstige Navi als Ersatz gekauft. Als dieses Navi eingetroffen ist, funktionierte mein altes wieder ohne Probleme. Ich habe natürlich das neue ausprobiert und es funktioniert genauso wie das alte, Obwohl es über 100 Euro billiger war. Was mir an TomTom nicht gefällt ist der Kundendienst. Über die Seite von TomTom nur Schrott antworten und wenn man über Umwege jemand erreicht, geht man nicht auf das Problem ein sondern es kommt nur allgemeine Antworten, die darauf hinlaufen, das Gerät zur Reparatur einzusenden. Vielleicht hilft es ja bei Bedienungsfehler. Aber echte Fehler. Keine Chance. Ich denke auch, das die Reparatur nach Garantie ende sich nicht mehr rechnet. Negativ: Komplizierte Anbindung an das Smartphone Das erste Update, trotz schneller Verbindung fast 3 Stunden. Straßenupdates zum Beispiel Geschwindigkeitsbeschränkungen dauern Monate. Ich fahre z.B. über eine Straße bei der bei der Aufnahme eine Baustelle war mit 10 km Beschränkung. Nach 3 Monaten weißt mich das Navi immer noch auf die 10 km hin obwohl ich 50 fahren darf. Wenn man genaue Straßenmitteilungen bekommen will muss unbedingt das Handy richtig verbunden sein. Positiv: Staumeldungen und Störungen des Verkehrs werden sehr schnell in die Planung einbezogen und eventuell gute Umleitungen eingebaut. Die Geschwindigkeitswarnung wenn man z.B. im Orte über 50 fährt. Die ersten 5 km nur optische Warnung über 5 km auch akustische Warnung. Schnelle Eingabe der Zieladresse. Und schnelle Routenplanung. Alternativ Routen Berechnung. Abbiegehinweise sehr deutlich. Und im Gegensatz zu Navis von anderen Anbietern. Wenn ich aus welchen Gründen auch immer von der geplanten Route abweiche, dann kommt schnell die Einstellung über die geänderte Route und nicht wie bei meinen vorherigen Navis von anderen Herstellern, die Meldung bitte wenden Sie.

Como siempre perfecta navegacion y ahora permite actualización wifi (Igual que en todos los modelos un poco lentas) Le adapté el soporte del parabrisas que ya tenía del anterior y perfecto. Si quieres conducir si perderte, es una muy buena opción, ni maps ni nada, hace años que los utilizo y es fantástico. La única pega es de la web, a la hora de intentar ponerte en contacto con TomTom.
