I am a 60 y/o menopausal female and am currently taking bioidentical progesterone, estradiol and estriol cream daily, along with a weekly bit of DHEA cream (all creams are OTC ). A month ago I decided to give these a try just to see how much micronized progesterone is really in it in comparison to the cream but only 2 a day instead of the recommended dose. I've stopped having periods when I was around 45 due to Hashimoto's affecting my female hormones. Well, 2 weeks ago I had several days of moodiness and some anxiety, similar to PMS and shortly thereafter I had some breakthrough bleeding once, then 5 days ago I had the same experience and for the past 2 days now have been having episodes of light bleeding on and off. I'm hoping my review helps those younger women of childbearing age who are trying to conceive. On the plus side I do feel great with a bit more energy than I had before taking. My concern is if I should do a regimen of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off and if I should continue to use the progesterone cream along with it (I use 20mg). I am currently using 3 weeks on with a 1 week break (same for the estradiol and estriol) I'm having no issues and my uterus is intact. Any feedback would be so appreciated ;)

NIH promotes micronized progesterone. This is it!!! Helped when my periods were way tooo heavy for a regular cycle. Been taking this for over 2+ years. Helped me regulate hormones and have my daughter after a miscarriage. Now it continues to help with decent sleep, hot flashes and lots more.

I have fibroids issue with unending heavy periods. My gyno prescribed methylprogesterone 10mg daily which didn't stop bleeding so I had to double it to 20 mg daily, which means I ran out of it faster then new prescription is allowed by insurance. To bide time till next refill I turned to this Progesterone mix in hopes it will minimize or stop bleeding. Unfortunately it's not strong enough to resolve my issue. I'm still bleeding, still in pain, but it's not as heavy as it was before. So product most likely works for mild to moderate issues. Hell, even prescription strength Progesterone didn't work as expected, so I didn't expect OTC to do that. Bottom line I rather take this Progesterone than nothing.

I have had a lot of problems with my menstrual cycle and have had months long periods. I had been working with my midwife & we ran a blood test and I found out my progesterone was low. After doing the things my midwife prescribed me to do I stopped bleeding for a month but then began bleeding again and it again did not stop. I got overwhelmed and ordered this bottle to just stop the bleeding although this pill only made me bleed more. The bottle came tightly closed and packaged well but when I opened the bottle the inside smelled like straight chemicals. I chose to ignore it and take the pills daily as instructed for a week and it only made my symptoms so much worse. I highly recommend getting a progesterone cream & going to see a doctor for any underlying issues. Everyone’s body is different seem professional help.

CONS- I took these as recommended: 2 pills, 3 times per day. I ran out of pills within 2 weeks. Would be better if it was a months supply. PROS- Easy to swallow. No crazy side effects.

Good
