Great for making 6 cups of Tea (8 fl-oz x 6 = 48 fluid ounces) - slightly lower avoids spilling.
I make and drink lots of tea every day, and 6 cups gets me from breakfast to lunch. Another 6 cups gets me through the afternoon, - and a final 6 cups takes care of dinner, through evening. I only fill this with 48 ounces of water, so as not to spill any, - and also to avoid making it too heavy to lift/pour/set down comfortably. While it says it's able to be heated on the stove without breaking, - I prefer to heat the water separately, - then pour it into the tea pot, - because different kinds of tea require different water temperatures, - and I use a Temperature Controlled Electric Water Kettle to accurately heat water. - only Black, Oolong, and Puerh Teas can be brewed with Boiling Hot Water (+212F), - while White, Yellow, and Geen/Matcha Teas cannot exceed +175F water temperature, - or you will BURN the Tea, and make it BITTER. Use TWO Hands (with a glove on one hand) when lifting, pouring, or setting down the Tea Pot, - and Take Your Time (don't Rush or Hurry... ), - to avoid accidents and breaking the glass by dropping the Tea Pot, if it's too heavy. I like to use Glass Beer Mugs to drink out of, - as it's strong enough not to break or crack, - has a heavy duty glass handle that will not break nor burn your hand, - and can hold more than 8 ounces of Tea, if that's what you want to drink at a time. Not everybody's the same, but for me, - I'm very pleased with this DOPUDO 62 ounce Borosilicate Glass Tea Pot with Infuser. The company seems to make high end products, - seems to have a GREAT Customer Support and Service Policy, - and my Tea Pot came very well padded with very thick soft foam padding, on all 6 sides, - which kept it absolutely safe, with no shipping breakage nor damage at all. They say there is a very small probability (<3 to 5%) it might get damaged in shipment, - so, if it is, to just inform them, and they'll ship another one, at no charge. I am giving both the Product AND this Company both 5-STAR Ratings, - and if this is something you think you could use, - I definately Highly Recommend you give them a try. :o)

Durable but fragile let me explain
I give this product five stars not because it's a great product but because it has lasted It is glass and fragile but it is durable as well. By durable, I mean that when I mistakenly left the pot on the stove and the water had evaporated, it didn't burn the pot. It didn't crack the pot. I do wash this pot by hand. I've never put it in the dishwasher. I've never left it in the sink overnight. I wash it as soon as I'm done with it. Once it cools down that is. But I also have to say I've purchased this pot twice the first time I purchased it as I was washing it. The lid dropped in the sink and broke part of the top of it off, but I still continued to use the lid because it didn't shatter completely and there was no cracks in the actual lid itself. The second time I purchased this pot I was washing the end part of it where the tea leaves sit and that cracked so I threw that piece away. During my uses I found that the part that holds the loose leaves is not needed. Because I noticed that the color of the tea was a lighter color when I use that inner chamber versus when I don't. I personally like using the cheesecloth when I'm pouring the tea.

Large Glass teapot
Hi, Center glass was broken when It came. I threw that part away. It would have been nice, but I don't need it. Nice size and thing to keep the glass top on better. It will be nice to use. Looks great. If the center glass was packaged separately it may have survived the shipping. I am glad I got it.

"GRANDEUR" for sure aka the super ultimate KING of teapots.
I do not care to "practice" the art and nuance of tea. But before the DOPOUDO GRANDEUR came into my life, my lazy tea process was more complicated than my wish and reached Drunken Fist "gongfu cha" levels. Everyday, I would boil one batch of tea from the crumbled fines of puer tea and a second batch from herbs (*a "tisane" to the hoity-toity folks). Then on the next day, I filtered the puer tea with fine mesh and filtered+tamped the herbs into a ceramic filter. Finally, I could drink this sloppy oinky-oink mixture all at once. Then then, I would reuse the filtered puer leaves and new herbs to make tomorrow's diluted version of tea. Then then then, I would also eat the tamped herbs and hence separate filtration. This "process" was a chemistry lab Frankenstein mess. I wished to simplify it with the proper hardware... After combing through every e-commerce website on the Western, Chinese, and Japanese internets, I was happy to find the DOPUDO GRANDEUR teapot because it met the requirements below: a) 100% glass with glass filter and lid. b) direct-heat / stovetop safe. c) 64 fl oz capacity beyond advertised volume (*yes, that's a lot of daily teeeeeeeeaaaa.) # tldr; The DOPUDO GRANDEUR werks. I crumble the puer fines into the glass filter and brew the herbs in the teapot. ~Voila~ The GRANDEUR elevates tea to an exquisite level at minimum. Pretty pig in lipstick no longer slurps from a trough and now swallows tea in the welcome company of gongfu tea masters. # OK the details: a) Treat it carefully. Do not wash. *RINSE* if you must. Simple enough. All is good. b) I heat water at 90% of maximum heat on a glass, electric stovetop. Then I turn off the heat and leave the teapot on the burner when the water begins to boil. No accidents yet after two months. Be wise and do not subject it to thermal shock; chemistry lab glassware is also just as fragile. All is good. c) 64 fl oz of water just barely reaches the spout. Avoid a rolling boil to avoid a spillover. One more note: when the teapot is filled and cool to touch, I hold it with !!TWO!! hands because 64 fl oz of water weighs more than 4 lb (~2 kg). If 4 lb can snap a chicken neck, then it can also snap a glass handle. All is good. *) The glass filter is the real MVP in my case since [1] I do not need to actively filter the puer fines for tomorrow's tea; and [2] to throw away the spent fines, I hold the glass filter and flick my wrist to fling most of the spent fines into a trash can. # Addendum The seller DOPUDO is the season MVP! I could have been more careful, but I broke the glass filter and lid on the same day. Pretty pig in lipstick is still a pig and makes lazy tea by nature. I asked DOPUDO if any of the MEDITATION, PAVILION, SUNDIAL filter+lid, which are sold separately, would fit the GRANDEUR. Unfortunately no, but fortunately DOPUDO generously sent a new GRANDEUR to me. 11/10 customer service and appreciation for real. As a token of my respect, I bought the DOPUDO PAVILION teacup, which lets me make and drink tea with the same process as the GRANDEUR at a normal volume. Pretty pig in lipstick is now a miniature pig (*or... wait for it... a "teacup" pig *haha!*). :D *five thumbs up* would buy again and again.
