1/2 Wayne Pump
I have used and installed these pumps for 30+ years. Excellent pumps and never a problem. The tether float makes the pump much better and lasts longer than the mechanical style switches.

Very durable sump pump with easily replaceable float assembly.
We purchased this when our previous submersible pump died. Our house is now 36 years old and this Wayne pump is the 5th sump pump installed over these years. The 2 previous submersible pumps each used a hard wired float like many other sump pumps do. The Wayne uses a “piggyback “ float design making it very easy to replace if and when the float itself becomes a problem. I liked that feature, and have now also purchased a replacement float assembly - just in case. The new Wayne submersible was very easy to install, but I had to rotate the pump a little to allow the float proper clearance within the sump pit. Wayne pumps have a great reputation for durability, so I’m assuming that I won’t be replacing this sump pump ever again (before we move, that is).

Pump arrived as promised, however when arrived the box appeared old and damaged like it was dragged on pavement for a good distance. Pump had dust and minor scratches consistent with being thrown around. Inside box had a note stating that I received an upgraded model. Would had given a 1 star rating but gave it 2 as it appears to be working like it supposed to.

I ordered this item because Amazon promised the item in 2 days, as I am an Amazon prime customer. It took more than 2 weeks to get the item !! When the item finally arrived, it was missing the tether switch. This pump was for an emergency because my last pump failed. Not a happy customer !!
