These work
They work great. I updated the speakers and factory radio in my truck. The dash 3.5’s sounded terrible and were distorted with bass. These took about 10/15 minutes to wire in and eliminate all bass from my dash speakers. It’s sounds so much better

MUST buy for clean, distortion free 3.5” upgrades!
So…I upgraded to new JBL Club 3.5” dash speakers in my OEM 2018 Chrysler 300 stereo. Chrysler’s built in EQ settings and crossovers on the UConnect basically prevent the volume from getting loud to protect their cheap speakers (mine is a non-amplified system). If you have a newer model 300, you know that the overall factory soundstage is pretty good, it just lacks those crisp highs and volume to really jam out. If you do upgrade to the JBL Club 3.5” speakers, I would HIGHLY suggest that you order these Recoil BB-35 Bass Blockers to install on the positive speaker wire of the speakers. The signal coming from the factory head unit to the dash speakers is a full range signal (highs, mids, and lows). The JBL’s come with a resistor installed that run to the tweeter to protect it from the lower frequencies, but nothing to filter the signal to the actual 3.5”. Initially I had to turn down the bass on my EQ so low to make the new JBL’s sound clean, and distortion free, that I lost that mid-bass that I enjoyed so much from the 6x9’s in my front doors and rear deck. The Recoil BB-35 bass blockers filtered all of those unwanted signals from playing through my new JBL 3.5” dash speakers so that I could turn up the low frequencies on the EQ giving me the upgraded soundstage and louder volume I was looking for. I couldn’t be happier from such an easy and cheap upgrade to my OEM system!

Awesome for Dodge Journey!
I recently replaced all 6 speakers in my 2015 Dodge Journey with MTX Terminator speakers and I noticed that it sounded awfully distorted and the 3.5” speakers on the dash were playing low frequencies which they are NOT supposed to do, and that really scared me thinking that it would blow them. I did some research and another person wrote a review on these about how these capacitors changed the whole sound system on their Ram and blocked out the low frequencies from their dash speakers, so I decided to give these a try and see if it would make a difference. After splicing up the Metra harness and wiring these capacitors up, it changed the WHOLE SYSTEM! The door speakers AND dash speakers all sound loud AND clear! No more worrying about the dash speakers blowing, and it even gave the door speakers more bass. 100% would recommend these if you own a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram, these little things solve your problem!

Great fit
They worked great for my Jbl Club 34F 3.5 inch dash speakers, it cut out the low bass, but left enough to not overwork the speakers and have a good sounding full range.

Good inline bass blocker
These work great as inline base blockers for my 3.5inch speakers. Tuned up my stereo and no more worries about too many frequency's. In line bass blockers are passive second line defense.... Use a proper crossover for active bass blocking!

Can tell it does something but performance not as advertised
I have these installed properly on the positive feed if 2x 3-1/2” dash speakers being powered off an 18w max head unit.. speakers distort bad at more then 3/4 volume. I’ve checked the head unit output for clipping.. signal is clean to max power.. However if I fade the speakers to the rear and reduce the output the 3-1/2’s get I can clean it up. If I go into my eq and reduce the frequencies from 250hz and down I can clean it up but then this effects my subs and door speakers at the same time! For reference if I boost the 63hrz range above -3db these infinity reference 3-1/2” speakers distort tremendously! (For those unaware you’re head units plus or minus 1 on each frequency is normally correlated to + or - 1db in output. I literally have to go above the 250hrz range on my head unit before these 3-1/2’s clean up and play good. In doing that I have to set the 32, 63, and 125 settings to -6bd. These are clearly not filtering out the signal as advertised. If they were a 6 or 12db octive on a 25w speaker only getting 18w of clean power would not be distorting. Been in this industry over 25 years now. I know how to do things and what works and why.. these are one of the products I can count on one hand in 25 years that simply doesn’t do what it should.. I’ve had to replace them with a high dollar 2 way crossover now to actually have them play as intended

Un costo extremadamente excesivo para no ser más que un capacitor que no cuesta más de 1 dólar.

Used this product on my Kicker 3.5” speakers to remove the bass. Now speakers sound nice and crisp without any distortion. Originally purchased PAC brand and they never worked out of the box so thought I’d give these a try . Excellent product so don’t hesitate to buy

Way too much cutoff for a 3.5" coaxial speaker
