I bought this feed having known nothing about this company or hearing anything about them.. so I took a chance on them, because it was a good deal.. (seemed like good bit of chicken feed for the money) I researched and compared prices per pounds to many different companies and such.. so much that it took me about 3 or 4 days to decide which one I wanted..which one had the best bang for the buck.. which one was safe for my chickens.. and I settled on this one.. honestly I was impressed my chickens really gobbled it down.. they hardly spilt any of it it seemed like they ate a good bit..instead of playing or what have toy with their food they actually ate it and quickly.. unlike the food I bought before this Scratch and Peck feed.. I'm so glad I took a chance on these guys because they did not disappoint me at all.. great amount for my money.. better packaging( than most) it came in.. delivered before it was supposed to be... definitely will buy from this company again..actually I just did yesterday only I got the lawyer feed this time and the chunks of food pieces not pellets..and once again they did not disappoint me.. definitely wi) recommend this company to everyone I know who has chickens/birds.. it's hard to find companies that actually do what the label says be organic and I've found that this one delivers on its promise... love love love Scratch and Peck!! Thanks guys for helping to make a good natural feed.. It makes buyijg feed... so much easier and less of a headache plus no more researching which is better for my tiny raptors. All I I is look for their logo and click.. awesome feed! Get it..get it honestly GET THIS ONE!!

No other brand is as good as this one! I keep searching for a less expensive brand that can compare, but none of them can beat it. As a matter of fact, the other brands that come close are actually MORE pricey. This feed has all organic/non-GMO grains that do NOT include corn or soy beans, and I'm very glad. What it DOES include besides good grains: Kelp, Flaxseed, vitamins, and antioxidant essential oils that help keep my hens healthy. And healthy food for our hens also produces healthier eggs for my family to eat!

We absolutely love this brand for our ducks! We used all three stages for them. Ordering the bags from Amazon is super convenient as well. The ducks love this food and will devour it when we switch between grower and layer feed. My only caveat with this specific blend is there has been an increase in the amount of dust the last few months. Once we get to the bottom third of the bag, there’s so much dust billowing out and filling the bottom of their bowls. This wasn’t as much the case before, so I’m not sure if we are getting unlucky with the end of the lot.

I scoured the internet for the best organic feed without soy and corn and contained real ingredients that chickens actually needed. Our chicks only ever had this feed with the addition of Chick Grit with probiotics on occasion. Not a single chick ever seemed to get sick or get paste butt or appear anything other than perfectly healthy and happy! I’m glad to continue this brand with their + Grub Protein line for top quality eggs. My stomach can be a little iffy with store bought eggs and I’m hoping that using feed without corn and soy and making sure their diet is actually ideal to their species will provide truly healthy eggs for our family the way God intended. It is costly, but it is worth it to me for our small backyard flock and we plan to supplement with foods and bugs from our garden. I hope that more and more small flock owners will choose the best options and give companies like this the ability to lower costs over time. I’m just relieved that there was such a healthy option available! I do wish local stores would carry this brand, but maybe they will as they grow in popularity.

Came loosely boxed by Amazon.com with several other items that easily broke the bag! Not much lost, so no return attempted. My broody REFUSED the locally-provided organic alternative! This high quality brand works well for my flock, though I ferment & add some other elements. Weirdly, this 10pound bag is returnable, but the 25 pound bag is not "due to food safety reasons"!!! Also, only the 10 pound bags are available on Subsribe&Save schedules??? All are on the same item page with bag size/age buttons for each one. Scratch and Peck has top quality balanced organic ingredients and includes all sorts of good stuff like D, probiotics, kelp, etc! But still need to grow enough varied plants for their chicken souls to scratch and peck for proteinaceous grubs & worms! My local feed store advertises online for the chick starter, and although all other S&P feeds are available there, only the chick "starter" is not? I may attempt a local special order if I get chicks in the future for their better local prices.
