I had a split 9 foot vinyl gate installed beside my house. The first latch we tried was a slip bolt. That did not work out because of the amount of wind we have. I would latch the bolt and later on in the day or the next morning, the gate was standing open. (Not good). I ordered this Gate Latch Lock which I installed above the slip bolt lock and it is great. You need to install the piece with the swivel latch first and then check to make sure the holes line up on the other piece in order to put a padlock on the latch. It is very sturdy and when installed correctly, works perfectly even without inserting a padlock in the holes that are predrilled. Just wish I had ordered this one first and I could have avoided all the fuss with the slip bolt.

Fast arrival and quality nice

I recently installed this lock on my shed, which I built not long ago. It’s sturdy, lightweight, and so simple to put on. I was looking for something with an antique look, and it fits perfectly. It really works great!

Exactly what I needed to lock my wood gate, and I am so happy to have found it. Very high quality and easy to install. I actually installed ours upside down so the latch hangs down until we are ready to lock it. Otherwise the bar is always across and we access our gate so often it would be a pain to deal with. We use this when we go out of town for added security. Definitely recommend!

Looks great and was an easy install.

We used this for a latch on a shed door. It does the trick and allows us to at least lock the door. We liked the black finish and it felt sturdy enough once mounted. However, since it’s out in the weather, it has gotten rusty in spots. The screws are especially prone to rusting and I imagine that we’ll end up needing to replace for aesthetics sooner than I would have liked.

Bon produit

I bought this and installed it 6months ago. The black paint has dripped down my fence over time from rain and being exposed to the elements outdoor and the screws are already rusting. I don't understand how this happens to a product that is made for outdoor. It's unacceptable and I do not recommend.
