Quality, quality, quality
Easy installation and allows the use of my downrigger on multiple boats . Excellent design and is durable and low cost , heavy duty ease of use and fits about anywhere

Not a full water seal
At first this seemed perfect. Wiring was easy and solid. Intallation was easy.. connection is solid. HOWEVER, regarding being waterproof, the rubber cap on the receptacle does not fit tight and comes off. Also the plug is open at the wire end and does not form any barrier to moisture. I would return it but I would have to remove it and then install another which would involve drilling another hole in my boat. If I can get a new cap for the outlet maybe the would be worth a try even though it involves removeing and reinstalling. UPDATE I contacted the seller and they will send a replacement cap. Also they explained that the plug wire is not sealed to allow for differences in wire size. I used electrical tape to seal the gap UPDATE You might consider getting two and use the second plug to attach a solar charger to the battery without having a second connection to the battery directly

Smaller than existing plug
Was smaller than existing plug. I had to make a starboard mount to be able to mount the plug. Quality is acceptable.

I used this on a motorguide XI3 for 2 years and no issues. Now I'm using it on the Garmin current and still no issues. I would recommend, small and easy on and off.

Best ever
The quality and features are the best. It even adjusts to the size wire you’re using to make it watertight. The locking connector is the best so movement or bumping of it will not lose connection. This a must have. Replace that old plug with this one.

Sturdy and easy to install
The 20-year-old plug on my fishing boat was wearing out and looking sketchy. This was a really easy replacement.
