Kottakkal ayurveda Nalpamaradi Tailam - Oil, 200 Ml, For Hair & Skin (Pack Of 1)

I’ve been using Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala Nalpamaradi Tailam for some time now, and my experience has been quite good. While using it, it feels a bit heavy and oily on the skin, so I prefer applying it before a bath. It spreads easily and gives a nourishing feel. After consistent use, I noticed my skin feels softer and looks more healthy. It also helped a little with tan and improved overall skin texture, giving a subtle glow.

The three stars are not for the quality of the product but for the effect it had on my skin. I came across this tailam while scrolling instagram. It was a bride to be, getting ready for her big day. She had started using this a few months before her wedding to get some glow. I was impressed and I had nothing to lose because Ayurveda formulations barely have side effects on me. Well, I was wrong. This is a yellowish oil will a funny aroma and I was impressed again, for I thought it would work. It didn't. I used about 8-10 drops of this oil for my entire face and neck, giving it a light massage. I left the oil on my face for 15-20 minutes and then washed it off with a mild face wash. I got a pimple the next day. I tried a few more permutations and combinations with the product, because I was in denial that an all natural oil would work negatively for me. Well it did. I have tried it multiple times and every time I get a pimple afterwards so here are my observations- 1. It is quite exfoliating in nature. So if someone is using topical retinoids, this oil may be too harsh for this skin. 2. If kept on the skin for a longer duration (say an hour), it will burn (minorly) 3. Just because it is all natural, it wouldn't work for everyone. 4. There is turmeric in it, which will stain the clothes, so careful with it. I wish it worked on my face, but it doesn't. Since I have the entire bottle left, I will try to used it instead of those exfoliating chemical peels for the legs. Hope the review helps.

The best

I received the oil, but it does not seem to be Nalpamaradi oil. I have used this oil before when I bought it directly from the shop. The one I received now is not the same product I used earlier. The smell and the color are completely different.Based on my previous experience using Nalpamaradi oil, I am sure that what I received is not the same. It smells like old oil, and the color is also different. Normally, Nalpamaradi oil leaves a yellow stain or has a yellowish color, but the oil I received looks colorless and does not stain. I am not complaining about the oil, but I have doubts about the product I received.

I’m writing this review after using this oil consistently for around 15 days, I didn’t see much change in my tanning. However, it definitely enhanced my skin with a healthy, natural glow.
