Was an exact fit for my Toyota Tacoma at a reasonable price.

Wanted to maintain my 2001 Chevy 1500 so replaced the tailgate cap. First use this thing tore up. Need to replace again, need to find good quality this time! The plastic is brittle. Does not fit well, holes not aligned and size just isn’t right. The included adhesive is junk. Overall it barely earned its one star.

I’ve read a lot of reviews for several tailgate molding cap and I thought I’d try this one. Once I got it, I checked to see if the holes lined up and appeared that the hole for using push in fasteners lined up knowing once I put it on, I couldn’t just pull it off with off without breaking several clips that aren’t replaceable. The holes looked like they were fine but once I put the cover in place and snapped all the clips into place, I realized like others that the 6 holes for the push in fasteners were off by a little bit. So not the end of the world. I’ll just drill the holes over a little to use with new fasteners. I would have really liked this cap if the holes lined up but still better than the nicked up sun faded loose fitting 14 year old cap that was on there so only 4 stars.

Even though it was a wrong size. The piece was of the highest quality. Delivery was fast. Over all. Grade a job and would use them again.

Doesn’t fit very well

Installs easily, fits, works and looks good

Installed on a 2018 Ram 1500. Three things that are wrong with this product. 1) only one of the six fasteners lined up. 2) The product is missing two clips that hold the top edge of the unit to the tailgate, so not expecting this to last. 3) The product does not go over the tailgate as far back as the OEM, so now you can see where the factory unit sat on the tailgate. It will do, as this is a working pickup truck and not an asphalt cruiser. That said I would not recommend or purchase again from this vendor.

I’m trying to return the part because it doesn’t fit. I’ve been instructed to send it back via UPS but they won’t accept it because it needs a Canadian label and I’ve been sent a US one. Don’t buy from this vendor, you can’t return the parts any you get scammed.
