VIVOSUN 6 Inch 440 CFM Inline Fan with Speed Controller, 6 Inch Carbon Filter and 8 Feet of Ducting, Air Filtration Combo for Grow Tent Ventilation

Pros: Overall build quality was very satisfying. Fan housing is steel and is fairly heavy for it's size. Included duct was of good quality (expected less honestly - pleasantly disappointed😁👍) The filter is huge. I didn't expect that. In all fairness, I just knew to buy the 6", I never looked at the measurements. I smell nothing outside the tent and I use fish emulsion (this $#!t sinks). It also has a potentiometer for speed adjustment. Cons: I had to cut a piece of wood to bolt the fan to because, while it does come with a bracket and nuts and bolts, it doesn't come with a way to hang it inside the tent. Also, the filter is bulky and a little heavy to hold overhead and hang by yourself. YOU'RE GOING TO WANT A SECOND SET OF HANDS (Yeah, you can hang it yourself, but if you have an anxiety disorder as well, just save yourself the frustration😤🤬👍) Only other con is the noise level. If the door isn't shut to that room, the fan can be heard downstairs and around the corner. Other than that, 10 out of 10 for performance. Would buy again if I needed another.

I used this fan for around 5 months. The first 3 months went decently well, the suction was great and noise level wasn’t too loud at the lowest setting. Then came month 4... the fan now barely works and makes the loudest noises I’ve ever hear from a fan like this. I’ve used other fans that can last up to two years with little to no problems. Just last night I heard the fan stop completely on it’s own and made a screeching noise like it was grinding. I checked the fan with no obstructions and tried to turn it off then back on, it’s barely working and EXTREMELY loud im scared it’s going to blow up or stop working when I’m not around for a few hours. Hopefully im able to get a replacement or a refund as I’m just hitting early flower and this is going to be a problem.

A little loud, but it moves a lot of air. So definitely worth it. It is also adjustable. We've had our for two years and it is still going strong. One of our best purchases for our tent. Works really well and keeps our area smelling fresh.

As an HVAC company owner this is a great inline fan, and it does an amazing job at what it's supposed to do, but it is severely oversized for the grow tent kits its included in. I added a damper to reduce the amount of air it'll push through, but it will still suck the tent in to a negative pressure even with the vents on the tent opened up and the fan set to its lowest setting (plus me further reducing the air flow with a manual damper). This will reduce the life of the motor, but I'd have no reservations about switching it out with one of their 4" fans when it dies. Moving too much air isn't an issue in itself, but when you're moving air in a controlled environment like a grow tent there are some issues. Warm air can hold more water so as you warm the air with your lights in a tent that air is holding more moisture than the cooler air outside of the tent. Once you start exhausting that warm, moist air from the tent the humidity level in the tent drops significantly. Using this 6" fan almost guarantees you need to add a humidifier to your setup. If you're putting together your own tent without buying a kit stick to the 4" fan over this 6" fan in every situation. For reference, bath fans only vent out a 4" duct and those motors don't move near the same amount of air that even Vivosun's 4" fan will move. The 4" fan will vent more than enough air in every grow tent setup they have. Other than being oversized in the kits it is included in it is a good fan and filter setup. It is a little hard to keep together and some clamps on the fan to connect to the filter would be a good update.

I got the 6 inch and Ive done maybe 5 grows to where the fan runs 24/7 for months at a time. The filter last about 2-3 runs. Using it in a 48x48x80 on the lowest setting and that’s enough to sink in the walls. It’s not the most quiet on the market but it’s not loud either. On full blast it gets a little loud. I would recommend the product because I’ve had it for a while and it works. 1 con though, the lip that connects the filter to the fan and the fan to the ductwork is sub-par.

Though the fan is quiet, the suction it produces, makes the air output, pretty loud! Still, I wish I'd bought the type of fan, that regulates the temp, and humidity, automatically! This fan, does work great, though, and my charcoal filter, totally eliminated my cannabis flowering smells, altogether! Overall, satisfied, enough, for now!

I bought the 6 inch fan with a 5x5 foot grow tent due to being recommended by Amazon. This thing is an over-kill for my use, on the lowest setting; it literally sucks in the walls of the tent, this is with with three 6 inch holes opened for air intake - it is very powerful. It is also somewhat loud, with the room door closed, you can hear it humming away. I give this a five star due to it being very well made, but if you are using this for cooling lights in a grow tent, you may only need the 4 inch version.

The kit come with all the necessary parts! The filter is bigger than I expected and the quality is really good quality! The price is perfect if your are looking for something for a 5x5 tent (vivosun tent) or area. I do recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a full kit! All of Vivosun products that I have bought have been really good and working perfectly! I really liked that all the parts came in a big box and each part was wrapped securely so no damage can happen. The assembly was no problem and I was able to install everything by myself! Shipping was super fast, it arrived in 2 days!!!

Top.... Too much for my Tent. I get it in sales, very powerful 💪💪💪

Changed to a 5 Star review. The fan did not break on me. I found out that it has a heat sensitive off switch to prevent overheating. Plugged it in today and it worked fine. Is a good product and I will update later if any other issues. DO NOT BUY. THIS UNIT BROKE AFTER A MONTH. NOW I CANT RETURN IT. BUYER BEWARE.

Fantastic fan for my grow ten!. Small issue is that it is only 2 months old and it seems to have gotten much louder.. otherwise it is going exactly what I wanted it to. Other than keeping my wife and I up at night as it now vibrates the floor which it never did before..

Worked great for about a month. Then got very noisy..bad bearing maybe. Become unusable due to. Non stop whoomp whoomp whoomp noise. First bad experience with anything I have bought from Vivosun. Might have just been a bad one..still recommend them. ****UPDATE.....Vivosun reached out to me and offered a full refund of the fan. Great customer service...this is why I keep buying their products

Writing this review as I've had the kit for about a month. Purchased the 6" kit and it worked great however now I don't really feel it moving much air and my grow tent is ballooning out. I have to greatly restrict the intake just to get negative pressure. I have reached out to vivosun but have not received a response yet. Will update this review after I get a response regarding my issue. However, if this is just an isolated issue the build quality, packaging and shipping was fantastic. I have nothing negative to say about it just need to sort this issue out. Update**** Vivosun completely rectified my issue very quickly and had amazing customer support. Changed review to 5 stars.
