A.X.E.: Judgment Day

AXE
I know many people are sick of the events that Marvel does every year, but I've always enjoyed them. You get a big story that spills over into other comics and shake ups that don't always last, but are fun to read about.AXE has all of that and more. Three "teams" at odds with each other, but still find a way to work together. Having read comics most of my life, I knew any deaths that occurred wouldn't last. I still enjoyed the story and art, however.I won't go into the moral implications of certain sets of people having the ability to come back from death. Just to say that Kieron Gillen provides us with a truly thought provoking story that also entertains. It was interesting to see how each individual was judged, wish there was more of it. Guess that's what the individual tie-ins are for.Good story and art , if you're on the fence about trying it, I say give it a shot.

Faith filled
This was in my opinion is up there with God loves man kills story line. Both are filled with faith and judgement, which is not a bad thing. Nightcraler should have played a bigger role in this story.

cinematic
A story that seems destined for the big screen. The Eternals background seems very much in line with the movie of the same and the X-Men storyline is a great continuation of the house of x epic.Great art, interesting twists, eye brow raising moments. It's what one would expect from a year end comic event and this delivered.

Solid Crossover/Event
I know the Krokoa Era of X-men isn't everyone's cup of tea, I personally have enjoyed most of it particularly the main X-men series and Marauders. I also recently read Gillens run on Eternals which I also really loved. (People seem mixed about that too, big surprise comic fans are divided.) So for me personally, it was great seeing these two groups collide and I think it makes sense that this schism would happen given both of those series' current story arcs. The artwork is stronger in this book than it was in Eternals but also doesn't soar to the heights of Larraz on X-men. I think it's a fun event if you are engaged in these storylines already, though I think if you're not so hot on the base series this probably won't win you over.

The media could not be loaded. I gave to my husband for his birthday and he loved it

Overall Enjoyable
Overall, this is an enjoyable graphic novel that I read in one sitting. The biggest issue is that it is too “packed” at times, there is simply too much stuff going on and packed into just 240 pages. While there is no shortage of action at all, it can be difficult to follow at times.

Watch a Awesome book
I did not think I would enjoy this book as much as I did love the writing love the storyline love the characters loved how they wrapped it all up. Can’t wait to start the next book.

Another jam packed, discombobulated cross-over!
I get it. I really do. Ever since Secret Wars and Crisis on Infinite Earths, comic book companies feel the need to do these massive crossovers. Sometimes they work (Civil War, Secret Wars 2015). But most of the time, like this one, they are jam packed with too many things going on. Even worse, they are jam packed with too many things going on that they don't show you! There are some pretty big leaps throughout this comic book where something has happened, been solved for, or decided upon that you never actually see or read in the book.Additionally, some of the artistic choices made to show things from a psychic/telepathy perspective muddle everyone to where you can hardly tell who is there. It's also just getting way too annoying that the X-Men can never technically die with their whole back-up system thing. Marvel needs to pump the breaks a little bit and try to get back to basics. Their comic universe is becoming as scatterbrained as their cinematic universe.
