ROVSUN 12000 BTU Mini Split AC/Heating System with Inverter, 21 SEER2 Energy Saving 230V Ductless Split-System Air Conditioner with Pre-Charged Condenser, Heat Pump, Remote Control & Installation Kit

It's really only been up a week... but so far I love it. Price I thought was great! I didn't install but seemed fairly easy for the guys that did. The one 12000 btu unit cools my upstairs and downstairs... about 640 sq ft total.

You need to know a little about hvac systems in order to install this unit. The most difficult part of the install was the electrical line, just because I had to go through my attic. Once it was ready and I had pulled a vacuum on the refrigeration lines, it came to life without any issue. I am amazed at how quiet this is, both the indoor and outdoor units. We’ll see how it’s doing in a few weeks.

Bought it, had an ac guy install it for me in my 200 sq/f shop (overkill was intentional). it worked great that whole summer. Didn't use the heater the following winter, so never got to try it out. This past fall, (2024) it stopped blowing cold air (Louisiana falls are just extra summer) and displayed an error code E0. I reached out to their support team and explained my problem, they replied back with a troubleshooting guide for the E0 code and told me they’d replace it under warranty if it turns out to be broken. I had my ac guy out at the beginning of this year (01/07/25) and he found that it was the outdoor unit’s control board. I emailed this to Rovsun support, not asking for a handout, not complaining about their product, but asking where I could purchase a new control board (by this time I was certain I was out of warranty) It’s been almost two months and I’ve heard nothing back from them. I don’t like writing critical reviews, but I gave them my money, they gave me a product that broke after a year, and won’t even sell me the part to fix it.. Will update if something changes. ***UPDATE: Since the past update I’ve removed the control board and gotten into diagnosing it myself..since there is no support offered. With that being said, I’ve found the issue. The 15 amp slow burn fuse was blown, which is often a symptom of failure, rather than a cause. I removed a massive heat sink from the board to reveal a blown MOSFET, with no thermal paste on it. What use is a heat sink if you don’t use thermal paste? I inspected the other components and thankfully, they were still in good working order. So I’ll be replacing the MOSFET, a fuse, and adding thermal paste, and seeing if I can get it working again. If you’re not comfortable doing any of this, I’d advise spending the extra money on a quality product with quality support, as this product was not a diamond in the rough, but rather a plastic gem, that you’d find in your average ¢.25 machine at the grocery store. To sum up, I got what I paid for.

Love it! Did the install myself and live it. Every instruction was accurate, I did use online video to confirm each step. You will need to rent or buy a vacuum to properly evacuate the system. You will asking need an hvac adapter for that vacuum.

Queda muy bien, buen tamaño para un ADU, licencioso, enfría muy bien y la calefacción también trabaja muy bien.

Installed this unit during the hottest part of the summer in my garage/shop. Took about 1 hour to get it from 92 degrees to 75. It’s so quiet I had to make sure it was running. Took about 5 hours to install by myself, running the refrigerant lines and hooking up the power. It does require the use of a vacuum pump and gauges (which I purchased) to test for leaks and remove the air from the lines prior to releasing the pre charged refrigerant. Overall, I would highly recommend this particular 230v Rovsun unit.

I was a bit apprehensive buying this unit on Amazon! Came in perfect condition! Had it professionally installed. Works beautifully in our 200 sq ft. pump house! So quiet!

The ease of installation was incredible. I replaced a 5 KW electric heater in my garage with this system. It will keep my garage much warmer for less$$.
