The leash is of excellent quality and beautifully crafted. The grip is soft yet sturdy and easy on the fingers. The length is perfect and the brass clip easy to hook on and off the collar. The pink color is subtle and gorgeous. The matching collar is equally well made with a ring intuitively placed on the opposite side of the buckle making leashing and unleashing a cinch. Overall excellent products, well worth the price. Note about the seller: I ordered the luxury handmade braided leash and matching collar for my 55 lbs Goldendoodle two times. First time around I received 2 collars instead of a leash and a collar. I returned the extra collar and reordered the leash because I really wanted the matching set. Second time around, once again Amazon sent me a collar instead of the leash. Frustrated with the weeks long return and reordering cycle I wrote to Vaun Duffy products directly and they sent me a leash within 24 hours. I am blown away by the customer service. A company that cares so deeply about customer satisfaction will always have my business.

Excellent quality. Sturdy, well made leather leash and collar. The leather is thick and strong, it softens up the more you use it but it’s pretty soft to start with. Seems like better quality leather than other leashes I’ve bought. I would recommend this one to friends.

Ordered this leash (and its matching collar) 2 days ago and it arrived very fast by next-day Air. Wonderful and very sturdy leash with solid clasp and round ring at the site where attached to the lead (flows instead of gets stuck at corners when a square bottomed ring is used which could make the clasp come open at a very inopportune moment!) Braiding is a nice touch and adds interest as well as functionality to the lead by making it more flexible at both the clasp end as well as the handle. Sturdy leather always will be a bit stiff in the very beginning but will limber up considerably with steady use, just like horse tack. Initially the color of the leash was a bit different than expected from the looks of the pictures on-line and more of a raspberry rather than a light pink, but the accommodating seller assured me that I would be able to obtain a complete refund of both collar and lead if that were to be of utmost importance to me. However, the wonderful performance of this leash and matching collar was so impressive that the issue of color seemed trivial and unimportant. Vey pleased with these purchases and would heartily recommend!

This is a fantastic, heavy duty leash. It's beautiful and well-made; all in all you can tell it's going to hold up. I actually took some time to play around with the leather to soften it up (which it will do over-time naturally, but it's more comfortable right away if you work it a bit). Just like many leather products it seems rather stiff when it arrives. Now that we've broken it in a bit it's a very comfortable leash; I love the soft padding on the inside. Probably going to get the matching collar to go with it as well. I would say the 6' is great for a large sized dog; it's certainly strong enough to handle large breeds. The clasp seems strong and able to handle quite a bit of pulling, etc... I definitely recommend this leash.

Bought this for my female German shepherd. It's nice and long, but so thick and stiff it is hard for me to manage. I fold the leash in my left hand near the dog, and fold it on the right to shorten the length. I thought I could let it out easily for potty walks but it is really a chore to bring it back in. Pretty, though, which was one of my top reasons for wanting it. Mostly, I got back to using the thinner, brown leather leash I got at the local pet store.

This is a beautiful leather leash. I needed a 6 foot leather leash to train my 7 month old (very) active/strong lab. I looked around and have purchased several different leashes since I brought her home at 2 months old. Finally I found what a was looking for. This leash is solid and very well made. I'm not concerned if my dog gets ornery and tries to bite the leash before I can stop her. I know she will not get through this one. The handle is soft, padded and easy to grip. The best part is that it has all these great features, but it also comes in this gorgeous pink so it fits both of my desires: 1) a good solid leather training leash, 2) pink for my girl lab. I will be ordering the pink collar to go with it as soon as she reaches her adult neck size. I highly recommend this high quality leather leash, you can't go wrong with this one. I love it!

Love this 6' leather lead!! I bought this for my new baby girl Akita puppy, Reign, and it works so well! She is tough and strong and we walk every day. The more I use the leash the softer the leather is getting. Also, the leash is black with pink so it is super cute!!

We ordered this leash to replace one of our other leashes that we had for 11 years . It was also the same style with the braided leather . I cannot tell you how good the quality is on these leashes . So worth the money . These have a really nice handgrip which will soften over time with use . All stitching is spot on and everything is tightly secure . We have shelties and we find that the 4 foot leash is a perfect size for them I also like that I was able to get this in pink for my girlie girl . I do wish we could get a matching collar for this . But with my breed their heads are actually smaller than their necks so it is imperative that we use a martingale type of collar . I would recommend this leash to pet owners . It's better to spend a little more now and have it last a long time .
