I make models using silicone molds for a living and for quite some time I am regularly using the BACOENG vacuum chamber kit as my trusted companion for degassing purposes. This is the second chamber I bought from BACOENG. Both the price and gauges quality are better than last year. It helped me a lot, when I first got the BACOENG vacuum chamber kit I did everything right but I didn’t put on the hose firmly enough onto the hose barb (the nozzle) which caused a small vacuum leak but I went to their support page and clicked the vacuum pump and chamber tab which lead me to the complete walk through of the process of putting all the things included in the package together and after reading that I realized my mistake that I didn’t put the hose on the hose barb as far enough to make a proper seal. After correcting my mistake it was all well and good and I never had a problem ever since. The product itself and all of its accessories are made of quality materials. To be honest the SS pot slipped out of my hands a few times but it survived without showing any signs of deformation. The BACOENG vacuum chamber kit has a wide verity of sizes from which you can choose from according to your needs. I went with the 2 quart setup however you can always consult the product series chart and pick up the size that suits you the best.

It's awesome! Love this little guy. Strong, sturdy, and can hold ultra-high vacuum like a champ!

This is a small vacuum pot useful for outgassing epoxy and other projects that need a good vacuum cycle. The vacuum gauge at first read below zero (not physically possible), but after a few runs seemed to correct itself. Not a big deal, since the lid either seals well enough for the pump the begin pulling the pressure down, or not. All I really needed to know was that the lid was sealing, not exact numbers. The rest I could infer from observing the behavior of the epoxy batch through the transparent top. The stainless steel pot is non-magnetic. I was able to drop a stir bar into my cup holding the epoxy, place the pot on a magnetic stirrer, and mix A+B epoxies under vacuum. This minimized air incorporation while stirring the components together. It comes with a connector hose that coupled directly into my 1/4 horsepower HVAC vacuum pump with no modifications.

I have been using this for a few weeks and so far its great, when it arrived the oil cap on the gauge was a little unseated and small dribble of oil, really just a minor thing. the hose it comes with looks like generic A/C hose but works nicely and is pretty flexible. word of advise is if your gauge does not read accurately be sure to pull the rubber cap off your gauge so it will adjust to the atmosphere where you are. mine sucked in some air when I got it. really the only thing I am disappointed about is that its a shallow 2qt canister. Wether that's a positive or negative will depend on your use. So if you have a 2qt paint mixing cup it wont fit in your chamber. I fixed that with a Volrath 78730 stainless steel pot off eBay which is a 3qt capacity and tall and fits the lid perfect. Was only $20 shipped and still cheaper altogether than the best value vacs stuff and uses serviceable parts. be sure to put some release wax down inside your chambers for easy cleanup of your resins.
