Nordictrack Resistance Motor Brake Tensioner 241949 6v

My NordicTrack s22i bike from 2019 suddenly stopped changing resistance, rendering it basically useless. After doing a lot of troubleshooting based on YouTube videos, I decided that replacing the motor was my last option. While troubleshooting, I had pulled off the original motor and opened it up, and I was not impressed - all of the gears were plastic! I am surprised it lasted almost five years. This replacement motor is probably plastic as well, but I don't plan to open it up to find out. Anyway, this motor was a drop-in replacement for what my bike had originally, and it solved my problem immediately. I have used the bike several times with no issues. It was well worth the money. Keep in mind that replacement of this component requires a fair amount of mechanical/electrical skills. You will have to remove several parts of the bike to remove the old motor, and there are some tricky fasteners. But if you can do it yourself, you can save a lot in potential repair costs!

I bought a used nordictrack elliptical that wouldn't adjust the tension anymore. After opening it up, I could hear the resistance motor running but not engaging. This replacement motor was a perfect fit and worked like a charm. Now the resistance adjusts quickly and reliably, and I have a well working machine for cheap!

Perfect replacement, exact fit including power connection. Faster then expected delivery. Only problem was the flywheel was broken not the resistance motor.

Shipping took a long time but was very much within the time range indicated at the time the order was placed. The resistance motor was intact. Once I replaced the old motor with this unit, my spin bike has functioned again like new.

The motor housing is not rounded off where it comes closest to the resistance wheel like the original was. It barely fits and our resistance wheel seems to have a tiny burr in the metal causing it to rub the motor casing with each revolution above resistance setting 21. It will work okay for us and maybe over time the plastic will wear a little with the friction so that we can use the full resistance without damaging the motor! It’s better than the machine not having and resistance!

Works correctly and fit perfect in my Proform1050 cycling bike.
