As a shamed member of a fallen house, Cassandra Gataki has seen what comes from trusting the poisonous Thirteen. But when the annoyingly handsome and kind Apollo asks her to go undercover as his plus-one during a week-long party hosted by a dangerous new power player, she reluctantly agrees to have his back. However, she has one condition: when it is all over, and Apollo has what he needs to protect Olympus, she and her sister will be allowed to leave. Apollo may be the city’s official spymaster, but his ability to inspire those around him keep him at the top. Despite what the rest of Olympus says or thinks, there’s no one he trusts more than Cassandra. Even as their fake relationship takes a wicked turn, a very real danger is threatening not only Cassandra and Apollo, but the heart of Olympus itself. Thoughts: This book was such a fun read that fantasy romance readers will love: twists and turns, a spicy romance. Radiant Sin literally had my favorite trope of all time which is fake dating! But it has so many more I love: forced proximity, only one bed, boy obsessed, forbidden love, and so much more! The book was so addicting to read because I loved both Cassandra and Apollo. I really enjoyed their dynamic and banter, especially those spicy scenes!! The only reason I didn’t give it a full 5 stars is because I hadn’t read the other books (I plan too) so some things about how Olympus and Thirteen worked, that took me a little bit to fully grasp. This was my first book by Katee Robert and I highly recommend it! I am running to go get all her other books and start them ASAP. This book includes: -fake dating -forced proximity -forbidden love -only one bed -plus-sized heroine -boss/employee -boy obsessed -slow burn 4.5/5 stars 3/5 spice Thank you Katee Robert, Sourcebooks Casablanca, and NetGalley for providing an arc for an honest review. Review: More Dark Olympus intrigue - Radiant Sin is the latest installment in Katee Robert’s Dark Olympus series. It takes the backdrop of political intrigue, adds a steamy fake relationship and sets the reader up for more shenanigans to come. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tough, no nonsense Cassandra has worked as Apollo’s assistant for years, even though she hates living in the world of Olympus. And, she may have a teeny, tiny crush on her hot boss. When Apollo asks her to attend a house party filled with members of the elite Thirteen, it’s strictly for her behind the scenes knowledge and has nothing to do with his own attraction to Cassandra. Sure, she’s going to go as his fake girlfriend, but it’s strictly a business arrangement, right? Right? Apollo and Cassandra are well matched, and their strengths balance each other out. Apollo tries to look out for Cassandra at every turn, but without letting his true feelings show. And while Cassandra thinks her baggage would be too much of a burden on Apollo, she has a hard time hiding her feelings when they are forced together. I really enjoy the intrigue and deception that fills the plots of this series. By the end of this book, it seems as though we are getting into the heart of the political gamesmanship. That said, while he’s supposed to be a deceptive spymaster, Apollo is too nice for this crowd. Cassandra seems more equipped to deal with all the behind the scenes misdirections. I wouldn’t call this book a standalone. There are lots of characters to keep track of in Radiant Sin, and it definitely helps to have read earlier books in the series. Radiant Sin was a steamy romance that dives into the political intrigue that makes up this fictional Olympus. While it’s a slow burn compared to other Katee Robert works, the sizzling chemistry between Cassandra and Apollo heats up the pages. It’s the underlying mystery that left me wanting more, and waiting impatiently for the next book.

I read this book within 2 days of receiving it. I don't think I've ever been so invested in a book series as much as this one. The sex scenes are written quite well and the story overall connects and is consistent! I would definitely recommend for mythology lovers. This adaption was worth the read!
