I use sandpaper to scarify the seeds before soaking them overnight in warm water. You have to be careful not to take off too much of the outer coating or you will damage the plant inside. The seeds swell when soaked if it’s been successfully scarified. After soaking, I leave them in a wet paper towel for a couple of days and most germinate. Smaller seeds are easier to damage in the scarification process, so you have more success with bigger seeds.

Here what you should do: - boil a cup of water - add some cool water to reduce down temperature to about 80 celcius - place seeds overnight - put them in damp paper towel and zip bag - wait for a week - get the sprouts from bag and plant them as in the picture - water them daily with sprayer - 🌱

I have started black locust from seeds several times and have had a 90 percent or better germination rate. I received 100 seeds from this company and have gotten 0 percent germination rate. Buy at your own risk

I just got these seeds and soaked them in room temperature water for 24 hours as mentioned on the package. Planted them after 24 hours and within 3 days the seeds germinated. I’m happy with these seeds. Hopefully will have a few trees in a few years.

I got about 39 seeds and some chunks of nonsense materials.
