Most of us are a bit more stressed than we were a couple of years ago. This beautifully designed, well made device can help you learn how to reduce your stress level. It even comes with a CD that offers tips on how to do just that. It’s worth every penny.

Only thing I don't like it's that you can't actually turn it "off" when not in use. You adjust dial when not in use so it doesn't register anything - therefore no audible tone. Still I think batteries depleted faster. STILL this is the best GSR biofeedback unit for self regulation of autonomic nervous system on the market.

This is really not usable. This has two metal strip sensors that you are supposed to lay a significant length of your fingers on to measure your skin response (GSR). Your skin response is related to your level of stress. There is a tone generated by the device whose pitch is an indication of stress, and as you successfully relax the pitch of the tone goes lower. The tone is the feedback that you use to change what you do to relax, hence "Biofeedback" The PROBLEM is the you have to maintain the same contact with a significant length of your fingers the whole time, which is difficult to do. If you bend a finger slightly, probably not realizing you are doing it, or change the finger pressure, probably not realizing you are doing it, it changes how the skin contacts the sensors and it causes the tone pitch to change unrelated to your stress level. These tone changes are not an indicator of the success of your relaxation techniques, like they are suppose to be. REALLY POOR DESIGN. The same type of sensor in real lie detectors, or in the old inexpensive 1980's Radio Shack biofeedback unit, avoids this problem by using much smaller sensors attached to the main unit with wires, held in place on your fingers with elastic Velcro straps. With those you can move your fingers without causing the feedback tone pitch variations inaccurately indicating more or less stress. NEEDS A DESIGN CHANGE to make it work as well as the old Radio Shack unit.

I think this is a great product but I thought it would come with a CD helping and coaching you on how to achieve relaxation.

Move the dial slowly to get proper tone and no on/off switch works right out of package just set with a steady tone and calm yourself. Great product

It's the perfect size for portability and ease of use.
