Overall I thought this jacket was really great for the price. Feather-light, comfortable and well-made, with handy large external and internal pockets. Looks nice. No signs of fraying so far, and the zippers worked smoothly with no sign of snagging.Of course you can't expect a $50 jacket to be as warm as a $300 down jacket, and it wasn't. However for me it fit a great spot between a heavyweight fleece and a much heavier and more expensive down jacket. Also useful as a layer, either under a heavy shell or over a sweater, sweatshirt, vest, etc. The very light weight and compressibility would make it handy for travel.So far it has repelled rain effectively, although I have tested it only in light rain. It is probably not intended for use in heavy rain, although as I said I have not tried that yet.

We love these jackets. My teenage children wear these jackets and they always say they are warm and comfortable. Sometimes my husband steals one to wear and he is happy with how warm they are. Also, I always buy jackets with hoods in case of rain or cold ears. They fit nicely and are not big and bulky- this helps them fit into school lockers.

Preparing for another trip this winter and wanted to try inexpensive down or down like jacket with a hoodie. I realize even though my body maybe warm, cold wind gives me headache as I experienced in Europe this past November. I came across this one (and another one which will be reviewed separately) since it's on sale for just around $35. This jacket is warmer than it feels as it's thin and light. We had cold and rainy Thanksgiving in So Cal last week and this worked well as extra warmth. It does fit big though. I wear large size mostly and this one is a bit loose. However, the larger size allows layering so I'm going to keep it around. It would be perfect if the hoodie is removable. I did see few feathers in my car today so it does "leak" some here and there.

I love this jacket, fits perfect as described in the sizing in the pictures. I am 6ft and I got the medium and it is perfect. I have always wanted a jacket like this but didn't want to spend the money on it because they are typically 150 - 200 dollars or more. I have recommended this jacket to anyone who as asked about it. It is super warm and light. The only thing that I could say that needs improvement would be when I get in and out of the car I do leave feathers behind, Im assuming because of the static that is made between the jacket and car seat. But no matter I recommend this jacket 10/10!

The large is a little big on me in 6’2” 205 lbs. I’d say it’s a fantastic coat for the price. I bought it for travel because it is packable, but found myself wearing it lots. It is warm and quite comfortable and though it is kind of baggy on me fits really good. It is supposedly poly filled but I have had some feathers pop out of it on occasion so I am thinking it is at least partly down. Great coat for the money. I may buy it in a different color.

I ordered two, only one was in the package. Amazon immediately shipped a replacement, good job! I live off Lake Superior, and do lots of outdoor stuff. This jacket is a great basic down jacket. One of my favorite features is a large inside pocket on both sides at the base of the jacket. Works great for holding mitts and hats. Only thing that I wish it had is the ability to tighten the hood around my face. XL well, fit as expected, I am 200 pounds and 5' 11". If you plan on going off trail through brush, get a heavy shell jacket, as the material is very thin and would tear.

I purchased this jacket for my husband. This jacket is probably best for 50-60 degree F weather. I recommend layering clothes if using the jacket in 50 degree weather.Based on the cons below, I would not recommend this jacket.Pros:- contains large inside pockets so you can use to hold your phone or small tablet.- comes with a pouch for easy storage- lightweightCons:- The outside pockets aren't deep, so your phone may fall out while you're walking- The jacket feels thin- Sizing is on the small side, especially if you're taller than 5'9" as the sleeves might feel too short.- Feathers keep poking through the jacket and will stick to your shirt

I won’t bore you with a thousand details. I’ve been searching for a replacement for my packable REI jacket. This and all of the “inexpensive” alternatives that I have tried do not have a crucial inner lining layer that keeps you from generating static. It’s that simple. As someone who lives in winter 1/4 of the year and works with electronics, these jackets are unacceptable. Not to mention, not that warm by comparison.
