I'm restoring a 1975 Trans Am and changing the interior from red to black. I used the SEM black Dye and used the SEM satin clear. It worked well but was a little too shiny for me so I purchased this SEM Lackluster Clear Coat. You only need two to three light coats. Seals well and works better that other brands of vinyl clear coats. It dries quickly in between coats. End results are excellent and long lasting. Highly recommended for auto interiors. I did prep with Vinyl Prep and used some warm water and dawn soap to clean and de-grease the parts that I am going to dye and clear. The dye and clear will stick better if you prep properly.

So far this is exactly what we were looking for, time will tell if it will hold up to the sun. We are redoing the captains seat on our pontoon boat to match the new seats we purchased. Seat was in excellent condition after we cleaned it well with acetone and a new captains chair is $500.
