Spec-Ops products are always top quality
This is a great organizer. Like all Spec-Ops products, the Pack-Rat organizer is extremely well built. It is made from very tough Nylon, lined with heavy-duty Nylon pack cloth. Excellent zipper. Seams are double-stitched. Check out the Spec-Ops website for useful information. Also check for video reviews on you tube. The Spec-Ops website states that there are 14 pockets. By my count, my organizer has 13 pockets (11 interior and 2 exterior). The Spec-Ops website also states that there is a clear business card/ID window. My organizer does not have such a window. One of the two external pockets is see-through mesh and has a short Velcro closure; the other exterior pocket has no closure. None of the interior pockets has a closure. Inside, there is a short lanyard with a clip (five inches, or so) that could be used to clip onto keys or a small LED flashlight.I use my organizer to store and organize many small items that might prove useful in the car or office (e.g., pens, notebook, small flashlight, AA batteries, Leatherman multi-tool, knife, small screwdrivers, electrical tape, pliers, safety pins, paper clips, flash drive, eye drops, bandages, butterfly closures, tiny pill bottles with aspirin & acetaminophen, hydrocortisone, Wet Ones, super glue, gorilla tape, nail clippers, tweezers, small scissors, pre-threaded sewing needles, ChapStick, ear plugs, space blanket, moleskin, etc.) For my application, this bag is nearly ideal. If you want to use the Pack-Rat Organizer as a man purse, then you will need to buy the optional strap that attaches to the D-rings on the organizer (Spec-Ops Brand Accessory Strap). If you care about such things, make sure that you order the strap in the matching color. The Pack-Rat Organizer is NOT molle compatible (i.e., there are no provisions to attach the organizer to PAL webbing). This certainly limits the usefulness of the organizer. Even though this organizer needs to be stored inside of a pack, or inside a pack's exterior pockets, it is still quite useful in keeping small items separately stored and organized (instead of lost and scattered throughout the big pack). The dimension of the Pack-Rat Organizer are: 8.2" x 10.2" x 1.6"Also check out the following products by Maxpedition (all are Molle compatible):- EDC pocket organizer, 5" x 7" x 0.75" (has mostly loops instead of pockets)Maxpedition E.D.C. Pocket Organizer- FR-1 pouch, 5" x 7" x 3" (has mostly loops, a mesh pocket, a zippered pocket)Maxpedition FR-1 Pouch- Neatfreak organizer, 7.5" x 9.5" x 3" (too big for my purposes; 18-pockets)Maxpedition Neatfreak OrganizerI would like to see three changes made to the Pack-Rat Organizer:- Provision for attachment to standard PAL webbing.- At least two interior zippered-pockets (to keep small items from falling out). At least one zippered pocket should be a mesh-style pocket, so items inside will be visible.- The exterior mesh pocket should have its Velcro seal extended from end to end (in the current design, it is only two inches long).

Extremly well made packs and accesories
Spec Ops manufacturers within the U.S., something I like. And, they are very high quality. I had bought one of their "The Packs" a few years ago for use during deployments, and while it now has several years of use it still is in excellent shape. When I needed a carry bag for my computer, I was torn between the Blackhawk and the Spec Ops - as I have used both in the past. The Spec-Ops won out but as you it has places on the inside to pug 'pockets' like this one. This carries a pen, notebook, etc., all in a neatly organized manner. If needed, it can be quickly removed and used on its own.

Great product, well made!
I purchased this organizer to store my GPS and accessories. I have another which I purchased during the 2001-2004 time frame of military deployments. The old one is still going strong and I use it for iPhone and iPod accessories (headphones, chargers, cords, bluetooth etc.). The Digital electric lifestyle has it's perks but can also be frustrating when the "Electronicals" are not there when you need them. I use these organizers to slip into whatever bag, backpack or case I am using. The day ends or begins and I check those bags to make sure I have the "Electronicals" back in place so when I take off again, I can stay charged and connected. There are numerous slots, pouches to organize your stuff. Great product, well made.

Nice Organizer!
Really nice organizer.. Its pretty massive compared to others. I seen reviews on YouTube and knew it was big but definitely a lot larger in person. VERY roomy i have the Grey Ghost Gear Stealth Operator pack that im using this for and it fits perfectly in there (like a glove). This organizer allows me to carry all me gear in a relatively compact way that I otherwise wouldnt be able to in this bag. The only knock and the reason i didnt give it 4 stars is because of the lack of elsatic loops. I like tight, consistent organization. Some of the items tend to move around but thats just my OCD. Overall fantastic pouch, i would recommend it.

i gave Bo Derrick a 9, Spec-Ops i give an 11
spec ops products, T.H.E.Bag with it's internal frame and pack-rat organizer work very well with Maxpedition and other molle/pals systems. spec-ops has smoother zippers and heavier fabric than any of their competition [that i have actually had my hands on], they surly deserve 10 of 10 points for their products. i give them an 11 [the extra 1 is for doing their thing in the USA] when i find spec-ops add on pouches that serve my needs, i will publicly give my other hard use gear to the first asian-american i can find.

Organizer is too narrow to actually hold anything
I have various Spec-Ops Brand stuff, and generally like the brand even though most of the stuff doesn't actually work that well. Take the Pack-Rat for example. Here we have a small bag with a zipper and some inner pockets and slots that sells for somewhere around $50. There's nothing wrong with the bag, but there's nothing great either. It's just a small bag. My main complaint is that it's quite thin, maybe an inch thick, so that it can't hold much. This is really best for something like pens, a notepad, and things like that because it lacks any depth. Also, most of the interior pockets and slots are in the bottom portion of the bag, so that all of the stuff you put in there gets piled up at the bottom and middle of the bag, leaving the top of the bag empty. A much better design would add some elastic straps and pockets near the top of the bag so that contents could be distributed more evenly and efficiently throughout the bag. But as is, it's difficult to make efficient use of the space. In truth, a large Zip-Loc bag would accomplish as much as this bag, and be waterproof and dustproof to boot. But that wouldn't be cool, would it?

Pack-Rat excellence
The Pack Rat is a very well thought out and handy should bag which can be a "murse" and/or concealed carry bag. One of mine is for slinging over the shoulder (order Spec-Ops strap) and the other fits between car seats.
