Super cool pens for $10 each. Had several compliments. The refills can be spotty while writing. Some ok some not. That said I bought a Schaefer refill. It kept getting stuck in the brass cone end and failing to retract when releasing the bolt. I chamfered the wide mouth of the brass cone end with a drill bit to stop the pen refill from getting stuck there. It took 5m and works great now. Just had to be carefully not to damage any threads on the brass cone so I could screw it back into the main pen body. I haven't tried the fisher space pen refill yet but I may. This Schneider refill was reported to write silky smooth and better so I got it. This refill is nominally identical to the refills coming in this package and still was getting stuck due to a slighty wider end. When someone ask you to borrow a pen and you hand this to them make sure you make direct eye contact. "Your not taking that pen" but with your eyes I have the brass finish and it does come off if you sit there and scratch it. But it's a pen so your really not going to do that. The weight and size of the pen is perfect for people who like the weight.

Writes well, compact, the bolt action is smooth, and well priced for a set of 2!
