Thorogood American Heritage Boot, Black, 8. 5 EE US

Honestly, I had a hard time doing research about this boot. Everyone says it’s great but it is. There is some break in time. Some people say that is it comfortable right out the box but not really. Like any quality boot there is some break in. Some spaces on top of my big toe there is some hard parts but nothing after wearing them for a day. These are comparable to red wings. If you want just style go with redwings but if you’re actually using this for work go for these. They are so good looking too. As for sizing, I wear an 8.5 in converse and vans and I got an 8.5 wide and they fit fine. Probably could of fit into an 8 wide but I don’t feel like they are too big. I don’t really thing there is a length difference in 8 and 8.5. I have sort of wide feet and a dislocated right ankle and the wide is perfect for me. Hope this helps!

Materials are as high quality as ever, but this is the second pair of thorogoods I've bought in recent years that fits too narrow--even at EE width. I have a slightly wider foot than normal but any other brands I'm easily able to break in standard widths to be comfortable, but months later these are still painful after an hour or so. Impossible to wear on the job site. These are just comically narrow, and unfortunately have sent me back to searching for decent work boots. At $250, this kind of irregularity is just unacceptable. Used to be thorogood or die, now I'm anything but. Hopefully duradero is better quality, that's my next purchase.

I have worn these boots for 12-16 hours a day for a month straight. Have told my wife at least a dozen times how much I like them! Would recommend them to anyone!! They don’t feel like your walking in the clouds, yet after 12,13,16 hours my feet still didn’t hurt. Great quality work boot.

I returned this and got a half size smaller, and with a few weeks of breaking in, they are much better.

Everyone compliments me on the boot, been wearing this model for years.
