Ohn Mar Win is a stand-out teacher and it shows in her new book "Go with the Flow Painting: Step-by-Step Techniques for Spontaneous Effects in Watercolor". She describes techniques clearly, with detailed supply lists and beautiful photographs. She offers ample practice and warm up exercises, and then covers food, animals, travel and flowers with specific projects. I particularly am interested in her use of ink line in combination with watercolor and she describes the process thoroughly. I think the book is well suited for both beginning artists as well as very experienced painters because the material is so detailed and specific. I highly recommend this book as a gift for yourself and for others on your gift list.

I’ve been making art for over 60 years. I love to study and learn from other artists. I’ve been watching Ohn Mar’s videos on YouTube for several years. Her book is the perfect accompaniment. She creates beautiful watercolors while giving clear instructions that are easy to follow and understand. I think the book would be of interest to those just beginning their watercolor journey as well as seasoned artists who want some inspiration. Beautiful book with large illustrations.

In this book, Ohn Mar Win does such an amazing job teaching watercolor techniques that a beginner can understand and do. One of my favorite artists that I've discovered on Instagram, Ohn Mar, has a way of encouraging loose and free painting techniques. There is a new project each chapter. It was fun to use her lessons to create note cards to send to family and friends. I recommend this book for all skill levels. If you are an artist that is wanting to express their work in a free flowing way, then check out this book.

I found " Go With the Flow" to be an interesting book for a beginner. Easy drawings and information on color mixing and applying it to her drawings.

Ohn Mar Win has been a must follow on Instagram and SkillShare and You tube courses with her joy of painting and simple ways to get started. This is a great book on how to get started if you’ve always wanted to try watercolor but also has lots of great insights and techniques for the more experienced painter. Her lessons on learning your materials and fun projects make this a must have in any watercolor painters library! Highly Recommend!

This is a great overview of watercolor techniques by fabulous artist Ohn Mar Win. I have been following her for the last couple years and have taken several of her classes on Skillshare and elsewhere. She's a wonderful teacher and has a calm, positive style. Her paintings are beautiful and I've learned a lot from her. I highly recommend this book whether you want to paint in a loose style like she does or not.

I started my watercolour painting by enrolling in her classes on Skillshare years back. This is a neat and well-planned book to help to get into painting with watercolours. The examples and explanations are clear and easy to follow. A good back to have to quickly have a look at how to use the paints and brushes.

There is not much detail to this book. Most of the photos and examples are small pictures, very few full page photos with details. The examples of the boat, submarine and balloon are very simple and basic. I like the style of Ohn Mar Win but if this is all there is to learning that style I would be surprised. We will see. I am a bit disappointed.

I Just bought this on Kindle and it's wonderful! I'm looking for ways to loosen up my watercolouring and have admired Ohn's work for a long time. I finally took the plunge, after drooling over her YouTube videos. and I'm so pleased I did. Very well structured progression of exercises and lots of bright colours. Awesome!
