ShadyVEU Super Dark Black Sunglasses UV Protection Lens Spring Hinge 80s Vintage Retro Inspired Shades

I’ve tried tons of different extra dark sunglasses from Amazon and this pair is by far the darkest and the toughest. I am a mechanic and often forget I leave them on my head and they haven’t leaked withstood multiple bumps into dirty salty rusty car under body stuff and haven’t broken or even scratched. I did break a pair but it was a very hard hit and only cracked the one thin piece under the left lens I easily plastic welded it back together popped the lens in (which wasn’t scratched) and it still holds up. I keep that pair as a back up now and have several others in various places. The only downside is they are so dark that face recognition doesn’t work.

"Wrap-around" keeps the sun from shining in at most or all angles! Fits over (reasonable-sized) corrective glasses. I was hoping to use these while driving, but they're too dark for that (I might miss a danger). So I use these while shoveling snow, they're perfect for it! Only useable in daytime with snow landscape, or when sunny. These are also very comfortable and feel like they fit well, no sharp edges against my skin, and don't interfere over my corrective lens glasses. I have slight macular degeneration and need bright-light protection. I love these!

I have sensitive eyes and the least little sunlight blinds me easily, however with these you won’t have to worry about them. It looks like night all day long. Worth the money if you have sensitive eyes.

For context, I'm wearing these while on deployment in Qatar. It's a very bright dessert in the middle east. The pros: - Very dark - They overall look and feel quality - Soft-touch rubber texture on the frames feels great. - Hinges are high quality and designed to bend a little in both directions. - The frames hold the lens away from the face, maybe it will help prevent it from adding to my raccoon tan. The cons: - Glare! So much glare I can barely see anything. - They only block about 90% of my vision because they're not wrap-arounds and that 10% that gets through is blindingly bright. Overall they're both too bright and too dark at the same time. I hope they make a wrap-around pair or something with less glare (or both). I like the quality though.

I am very pleased with this purchase! I have severe light sensitivity, and these glasses block out the UV rays 100%. The fit is snug, secure, and comfortable, and although they are relatively a little higher in price, they are well worth it because they provide optimum eye protection. I'm going to get another pair as a back-up.

Very dark glasses for sure! I'm a welder and I know dark glasses for sure. Anyone who says these glasses are the same darkness as a pair of dark sunglasses is wrong. They are the darkest glasses I've ever put on for sure. Definitely darker than any dark sunglasses I've ever tried. I open the package in my car and put them on while driving on a sunny day and they were actually too dark to keep on while driving! Yes, they are dark! It would be great for working with a torch for sure.

They are the darkest I have been able to find BUT, the first two pair I purchased have both split on the bottom if the frame holding the lend. Seems to be a defect in the design or manufacturing process. Both times it was within 6 months.

As far as good sun protection and great fit. They are a little narrow on the arms. But good quality.
