Good Grips Garlic Press

Best garlic chopper! Tried a few off brands.. no one compares to the OXO design. Super efficient- chopps the garlic very fine, very easy to operate, and very easy to clean (dishwasher safe).

This is an OXO product so quality as expected is excellent and feels solid and robust when using. Crushes garlic quickly, efficiently and with easy with little waste ie you get most of the garlic being produced. My only gripe is it’s quite awkward to clean as the ‘basket’ isn’t removable and held in place as part of the hinge. It’s not a dealbreaker as the tool is excellent but a removable basket to make cleaning easier would have been useful.

Very impressed. Didn’t even peel the garlic clove and it squashed through no bother. I have fibromyalgia therefore weak and sore arms and hands and I could do it no problem. So easy to clean. I used to have the more expensive version of the oxo garlic crusher but moved and lost it. This is just as good. Squashes the garlic into nice tiny smoosh. So happy.

Purchased this Oxo garlic breast replace my previous Oxo press that had just broken, it had lasted me about 10 years so I was keen to stay with the same brand. I was not disappointed, I would say this pushes the garlic better as I have very waste little left to remove compared to the previous model I had. Because the process is so good, there is very little to remove from the inside as it’s easily removed using a knife.

Good gadget, especially if you have hand problems, as they can be operated easily or with both hands if necessary. Punches out the garlic reliably. Only gripe is, after punching out the garlic it sort of leaves the outer skin or membrane (not sure what it is) of the clove behind in the press. So it doesn't ALL get punched out, so you have to remove the remains by hand and chop up (it is only a thin bit) if you want it. Also, this bit would need manually removing before putting it in the dishwasher as my dishwasher does not remove this. It has to be fished out by hand. But this is a small thing, and doesn't put me off them. Great improvement on my last garlic press. Also, if you are pressing multiple cloves, one will help push the next one through, so there's not really a build up.

I’ve had a few different garlic crushing devices over the years and they’ve always seemed to be a bit too much like hard work. They either require all of the peel to be removed from the garlic cloves or need a lot of force to crush the garlic effectively. This OXO Good Grips garlic press is the best garlic crushing tool that I’ve used. It isn’t the cheapest but the slightly higher price is worth it for its ability to get the most out of each garlic clove. It isn’t necessary to remove all of the skin from garlic cloves and it’s possible to fit two smaller cloves into the press. As with other products in this range, the grips are chunky and rubber and accordingly easy to grip in larger hands. These grips give a good crushing action and the product seems quite robust. The press is easy to keep clean by washing in soapy water or can be put in the dishwasher. I have yet to find a garlic crusher that works better than this and consider it well worth the asking price. Thoroughly recommended.

Great garlic crush, feels sturdy and well made. Slightly annoying that the dishwasher often can't clean it properly.
