My senior dog loves this snuffle mat! It keeps him from scarfing his food, and I think he enjoys hunting around to make sure he gets every kibble hidden in it. I think he has fun looking around for more kibble! This was a good investment for keeping my dog from eating too fast, and also providing some entertainment for him to locate small treats.

To say that this purchase is a win would be an understatement. My dog recently went blind due to glaucoma, and I was trying to find ways to enrich her life more without sight. This was the big win for that. She gets to use her nose to sniff through and find food and treats, providing great entertaining and enrichment with very little extra input. It seems durable enough and can be easily washed. If you're looking to stimulate your dog's life more, especially if your dog is visually impaired, this is a wonderful option.

My Cori likes food puzzles and smelling so this seemed like a great new toy for him. He's used it a half dozen times now and I've noticed a bit of a pattern which is why I say in the title 'with supervision'. To start with he sniffs around the folds and finds his kibble. During this phase sometimes he pushes it around the floor because it doesn't really anchor to anything. You could use the draw string to tie it relatively in place but otherwise this could get pushed around or even flipped upside down. Then the end phase where there's only a few pieces of kibble left, this is when he starts to tug on the fabric blades. This is when you want to be watching carefully or your dog could destroy it. At this point I take it away from him and i'll dump the remaining kibbles on the floor for him to get. I've so far lost two fabric blades from him tugging on them to find the hidden kibble. I've seen a video of a dog just pick this thing up (or one similar) and shake all the food out. I won't let mine pick it up off the floor i'll look at him angry face and say "no!" and he'll go back to playing with it properly. But if i left him unsupervised i'm sure he'd just shake all the food out or pull all the blades out.

Great product. It washes very well and keeps my dogs well entertained. I've have two young puppies that have grown up with this as food bowl, treat dispenser and smart toy, and it still looks new. None of the loops have come loose and the outside and bottom are still solid. Recommend this one above some of the others that come in a set. I thought i would need a backup to this one, but I was wrong. Over six months and still going strong.

Our dog loves to sniff. He also loves to eat. So, this sniffing mat was perfect for him!

Way too big for tiny dogs like Yorkies. And the “snuffles” are too stiff and hard for proper foraging. I’m going to make one of my own using 100% organic cotton mate with strips of 100% organic cotton sheets.

Slows my dog down and keeps him entertained for MUCH longer than if he was eating out of a bowl. Well worth the money. The felt is a little stiff so it is resistent to absoarbing crumbs which helps it not get super gross. I highly reccomend this for helping to slow down any fast eating dog and to use as an enrichment tool to emulate "foraging" for food.
