Great Notebook for Field Engineering Use
I have previously used a variety of notebooks over my career and schooling. I am a Mechanical Engineer, so I always need to have a notebook on hand to jot down notes, ideas, or designs. I also love using graph paper as i find it easier to both write and draw on the same sheet, while also having rough guidelines for scaling a design. All styles of these notebooks are relatively the same, but the biggest issue I found myself having was the paper to write, but no pen to write with! I dislike carrying a pen in my ear as it is uncomfortable, and I don't like to put them in my pocket as I've had a few explode and ruin my pants. I've had to resort to simply carrying it in my hands along with the notebook, and having to travel all over my project, the pen will disappear before the day is over. So when I saw the same style of notebook I like, with graph paper, and a pen holder, I was pretty much sold on it. The pen holder is attached to a soft spine which allows you to open the book easily even if there was a pen in the loop. There spine and the cover are sewed together and are durable enough for me to take it on construction sites and throw it around in my bag. The paper is also of high quality, and is heavy enough for me to write on and flip through without having to worry about tearing the paper. I've had it for a while now and it still holds up well. I have even gotten a few of my coworkers to buy this notebook as well since it is both stylish and of excellent quality. I will continue to purchase these notebooks throughout my career as they fit all of the requirements I need.

Great so far, recommend properly breaking in spine
***2nd update: It's been several months and this notebook is still going strong! No bleed-through or cracked spine. My only complaint is that I'm close to filling this one up and would like to buy more, but it only comes in one color. I wish the colors they offered for their other types of notebooks were available for the lined grid as well. (Still going to buy it again, but would probably be more tempted to buy in bulk if there were more colors.) ***Update: it's only been about a week, but I've been opening it and closing it a lot and it seems to be holding up great! Also, I have been using paper mate felt tip pens and haven't had any bleeding. I've even used the darkest colors, and have had to go over some lines multiple times and still nothing!!**** If you've ever opened a new hardcover book, you know the spines are usually pretty stiff. When it comes to lay-flat books and notebooks, unfortunately the spine has to be thinner and more flexible to actually lay flat. It's just the way it is. When reading the reviews for this notebook, the only real problem people seemed to encounter was the spine cracking. This seemed like the perfect journal for my needs though, so I decided to risk it and take preventative measures when I got it to keep the spine strong. First off, I received this at the end of December, which means the package was cold when it got to me. I took it out of the box and let it sit for a bit before attempting to open it. I figured it being cold for a long period of time would make the glue a little more brittle. Once it was room temperature, I followed the steps in the diagram I've included. (I did it one page at a time instead of a few pages at a time though, and smoothed my finger along the inner edge for each one to make sure it was laying flat.) Once I did this, I repeated it in reverse when closing it. After I repeated that a couple of times, I flipped through the pages in both directions a few times. It might seem like a pain, but it only took me about ten minutes, and is completely worth it in my opinion. After I was done, the spine felt much more flexible. I will probable do this occasionally to keep it nice and limber. Honestly, lay-flat spines are never going to be as durable as normal ones. I hate writing in notebooks that barely open though, so this little bit of extra work wasn't really a hardship for me. The pen holder got a little squished in the box, but holds my pens just fine. The pages are nice and thick, and the grid isn't skewed at all. I will try and update this review once I've used it a bit to show how it has held up.

High quality, great features, BUY IT
I love this notebook. I used Moleskine for years but was constantly depressed every time I finished a journal because of the price of buying a new one. I looked on Amazon and took a chance on this one and I love it. Just purchased my second one in a year. I use this journal daily for personal devotions, meeting notes, work-related brainstorming -- a little bit of everything. It's always in my bag being tossed around in addition to being opened several times a day, and it's held up without any issues. Pros: -Quality leather feel / look -Thick, quality paper. Ink does not bleed through or smear -Pen holder on spine is a great addition -Pocket on the inside back cover (like Moleskine) to carry any loose papers or bookmarks -Tough - has not deteriorated even under heavy use -AFFORDABLE Cons: -I wish the pages were already numbered Overall, great product. I highly recommend!

Brilliant notebook
I've always been a Moleskine fan, but my recent switch to fountain pens (specifically wet Iroshizuku inks) has had me searching for a new favourite. Having tried pretty much every other brand out there, I tried Lemome in a 'what have I got to lose' frame of mind. The book comes packed in an individual black carton. Very swish but completely unnecessary. Once opened my immediate impression was one of very high quality in the construction of the book. The faux-leather front and back covers feel great, and contrast nicely with the grey spine. All the usual features are there - ribbon bookmark (long enough to be useful - I'm looking at you, Rhodia), gussetted pocket in the back, and all well executed. The pen loop on the spine is a nice extra touch. I can't say that I see myself using it, but surely some will find it handy. Now onto the most important part - the paper. According to the description the Lemome is filled with 125# paper, and it shows. Certainly heavier than any other notebook I've used. I've tried everything from pencil to the wettest fountain pen on this paper and can happily report that the paper withstands everything. No bleed-through, no feathering, and ghosting ranging from nothing to "if i strain i can just make it out". Overall a brilliant notebook, and a steal at the price. Cannot recommend enough.

Lemome Squared Notebook
Silky to the touch, this is a very attractive notebook. Mine is "squared," that is filled with graph paper. The binding is sewn. With normal use this notebook will last more or less forever. The paper is of a quality approaching that of the expensive wedding invitations you regretfully passed up. You would not want a heavier paper: the book would be too bulky. Show through: Yes with a Sharpie fine point Permanent Marker, black ink pen. No, with a Pilot Precise V5 extra fine rolling ball pen with black ink. The message from here: don't use a permanent marker on this notebook! It is of too fine a quality to subject it to such treatment. The paper is ruled with a very fine light grey line that is easy to see, but does not intrude or distract. It is a pleasant light creme color and is as smooth as the finest writing paper. There is nothing but the graph lines printed on each page to commandeer the format or otherwise get in your way. The real estate is all yours. I love it! It's handsome and sturdy enough to house your Will, or your very best poetry. Marilyn Conant

This Journal is the best bang for your buck!
I use this product as a bullet journal. First I will talk about the Pros, then the Cons, and lastly some opinions that would make this product amazing (IMO). Overall, this product is awesome. My CONs are opinion based and not physical fault of the product itself. Pros: 1. Price is unbeatable. Other notebooks have a little more generic formatting that is nice but usually for $4-7 more than this notebook. 2. The paper quality is great. I use Frixion erasable pens. They do not bleed through at all. 3. The binding is also good. Some of the other bound notebooks have a 1 out of every ten or so page that is off to make up for the stitching. This notebook does not have any of that. 4. Pen loop! The pen loop built into the the side binding is ideal. Big enough to fit slightly bulkier pens (like the Frixion push click) but still snug enough so it does not fall out. 5. Cosmetics. This journal is pleasing to look at. It just looks professional and well built. The off tone binding and tan cover give the notebook a super durable look; which it seems to be. Cons: 1. generic formatting is absent. However, these are easily added by the user (i.e. Table of contents and page numbers). I use this notebook as a bullet journal. Some may not. Ifyou are buying this notebook as a bullet journal; I still recommend it! The following are some suggestions I have for the manufacturer to make a fantastic (IMO) bullet journal. Recommendations: 1A. Highly Recommend: Add a Table of Contents Framework at the beginning of the notebook. 2-4 pages. 1B. Highly Recommend: Add page numbers at the bottom corner of the pages (to reference in the table of contents) 2. Opinion: Add one page monthly calendars to notebook that includes major U.S. holidays (front to back = 6 pages). Other notebooks/planners have this feature and it comes in really handy. Especially with future planning. Bullet journals basically do this but most of those are then hand written. Having a generic format is efficient. 3. Highly Recommend: Adding one more bookmark string. One is nice. Three tends to be too many (IMO). Two seems to be just right. The additional bookmark along with the proliferated page corners would be perfect. 4. Opinion: Add black and white regional maps of the world with country capitals highlighted. A notebook I considered purchasing had these maps and I found it very helpful and interesting. 5. Opinion: Add small proliferated design at top or bottom corner of page. This allows the user to easily tear away the corner when that page has been written on; effectively making a bookmark of the newest page to write on in the notebook. 6. Opinion: Add generic conversion tables in the back pocket. 7. Opinion: Add a simple THIN ruler into the back pocket so the user can quickly format pages to their liking. 8. Provide several binding and cover stickers (like the Lechtrum series notebooks). These stickers are useful for quick referencing to the user. 9. Opinion: Make the last 5 or so pages of the book able to be torn out. There are occasions where paper needs to be shared or information needs to be given to someone and tear out pages are very helpful for that.

Better than expected
If you’re a notebook connoisseur, add this one to your collection. They are not kidding about the ability to lay flat- every single page lays perfectly flat. The pages are much thicker quality than I anticipated, although just a slightly more off white/yellow color than white. Cover is thick, good quality, seems like it will hold up well in a purse or bag. Pen loop is a little tight but works just fine. Would make a fantastic bullet journal, notebook for classes, or sketch book (if you like the grid lines). Professional enough for work. Very happy, will buy again when I need another.

Best Notebook Ever!
This notebook was sooo much nicer than I expected! I mean just the packaging itself was so fancy, it came inside of this beautiful black matte box which made me feel like I was opening some sort of Apple product lol. And I loved the pages! I don't like white pages so I prefer a more off-white, almost creamy tone and this was a wonderful color, the grids on the pages were good, and the best part was how flat the pages were. It made it easy to write on both sides and I didn't even have to hold the sides down to make the most out of each page. And of course the cover was soft and a great color and I loved the little elastic pen loop on the outside, super handy. Overall I am super impressed with the quality of this notebook and how much I loved it. My brother saw it the other night and now he is ordering one too. Totally worth it!
