My cage is 30x18 so its about 96 around and 18 in height. The description reads 118 and 16 in height. So I knew it would be a little big. Preferred it a little big than too tight. I have 2 budgies and mainly the mess comes from the flapping of wings when they are acting silly and comes from the bottom, I usually change their crate twice daily and line the bottom above the crate and change that about twice daily. I have them up on a chest and clean behind it weekly. I dont have the liner all the way up in the front because I have my budgies door open mid morning till bedtime. Large door has a smaller door, but mesh fits better this way. So for me the fit is fine. I have it pulled nice and tight around the bottom. Does it keep every single seed, poop, and feather inside, idk yet. But I'm thinking it will help quite a bit. Unfortunately my budgies came with clipped wings, and while the first one has his wings now and can fly, the second I got two months later is not quite there yet, so he climbs the cage getting back in. I will have to watch that toes don't get caught in the mesh. I'm retired and hang out with them quite a bit, so I'll be watching to see if they mess with the mesh.

I bought this net and let me tell you the best my parakeets make a mess with the seeds and it used to fall out of the cage it is better now since I've bought this net. It fits perfectly, my pigeons cage is huge so I was scared it would be too small but it was actually bigger than I needed it to be. It has strings that you can pull and lock into place to make it tighter around the cage too so it can be fitting to most cages.
