The UV LED light initially operates at a power of 30W.  After 2 hours of continuous use, it activates an overheating protection function，which controls the power to around 25W to extend its lifespan. Tip:To optimize the lifespan of the UV light used for screen printing, it is advisable to periodically turn off the switch and allow the lamp to cool for a few minutes before resuming operation.

What exposure time/distance would you recommend for an 18x20 frame with diazo emulsion?

Exposure Time:
The recommended exposure time for our exposure unit varies depending on the type of emulsion and mesh count used.    As a general rule, most screens will require an exposure time between 8 to 10 minutes.    However, we recommend starting with a test exposure at around 7 minutes, and then adjusting the time based on the results.

Lamp Distance:
The ideal distance between the lamp and the screen varies depending on the strength of the light source.    For our exposure unit, we suggest placing the lamp approximately 12 to 18 inches (30 to 45 cm) away from the screen.    This distance should provide an even light distribution, ensuring a consistent exposure across the entire screen.

Please note that these are general guidelines and may require some adjustments based on your specific setup and materials.    To optimize the exposure process, we recommend performing a step test to determine the optimal exposure time and lamp distance for your unique requirements.

How long did you expose your screen for? I see reviews talking about 8min and others talk about 10 seconds. Very confusing

It's going to be based off the emulsion you use. I mainly use ecotex and it has a UV recommended time. Generally 10-15 seconds.  Make sure you have something dark underneath the screen when exposing to prevent over exposure. I use black felt from Hobby Lobby.
