Okay, so I have had this retractable device for 1-1/2 years now and was thinking I should review it, as it really is phenomenal! I use mine for a security badge for work and badge through doors anywhere from six to 30 times daily, meaning this thing is extended and retracted to about 2-1/2 feet out, that many times on weekdays. It is doing great! Not one issue! The cable is holding up and not showing any signs of fraying or wear and the retraction is still firm! This is definitely a 5 out of 5 review! Durable and a great value! What more could one ask?

Going on month 5 with this item. Recently started my job as a teacher and got this to organize my various building keys. The steel wire has held up really well and the spring tension holds the weight of my keys, ID, and Swipe Card without dropping. The wire extends out far and will clip to my belt or pants if I am wearing suspenders. Well made and has lasted over time.

I like it have had it for a while now , been doing its job The coating around the wire is starting to crack but I hope it won’t affect anything . Color is starting to peel? Idk if it’s paint or what. Only thing I don’t really like is it’s really heavy to be hanging from a pocket shirt Other than that it’s good

When they say heavy duty that is definitely true.. I got tired of the crappy free ones work was giving me over and over and would eventually sag down my leg because of all the crap they want me to carry around. Its pretty much over kill for me.. but Highly recommend for more than a few keys badge stuff and trackers etc.. I love it but I have also found that its more of a belt clip as I have been using it on scrubs its popped the clip off the scrub pocket and came rocketing at my hand.. no damage but definitely know ya do it. I'm looking for a medium one now.. low medium heave? I guess I'll find out

I have had 3 retractable key rings from this company all 3 frayed or stopped working very quick. This one was metal more robust and heavy duty… broke in a week holding 3 keys

I'll start by saying these are "heavy", yes... But "heavy duty"? no. the thing feels like a brick on your pocket. Not that I minded much, I just noticed. And I have quite large hands.. So getting my claws past this thing, into my pocket, to get my keys out was usually a bit of a struggle. All of that holds really no value when you break down how long these things last (or lack there of). I bought a TWO pack in MAY. Its OCTOBER.. three months of use. Hell, I'll say four months to exaggerate. that means these "heavy duty" ones have lasted two months each. I work in a pretty easy warehouse and other than being extended every time I go into my office throughout the day there wasn't much abuse. It look decent and feels like it should last longer but the first one the screw fell out of the back of so it just disassembled itself down my leg as I was walking into the house last month. The second one just snapped the wire at the ball where it connects to the badge holder. Over all I'd try and find something a little better built.

This is the highest quality ID badge holder I’ve ever purchased! It has a plastic-coated retractable steel cable, as opposed to the typical cheap string that falls apart. The holder has some decent weight to it; seems to be very high-quality.

I bought this after going through 3 due to my students last school year and while it survived them, it didn’t last 8 months. Most of which, would be considered just normal use for varying my badge and keys. I also didn’t love that the entire thing would become loose and would require me to tighten it more frequently than I expected.

I purchased the clip to be used with a single ID badge and a key and for that purpose, the clip met my expectation. The clip is weighted but not bulky. I supposed it was designed to support the weight of several keys, as well as the weight of some id cases. The weight and bulkiness of the clip will compliment how the user intend to use it. If you are looking for durability based on the number of times you will be pulling and stretching the strings, or the number of cards in the your case, or the number of keys you attached to it, then this is the clip is for purpose.
