A good quality kit with minimum flash and straight frame rails

This Freightliner 2-in-1 semi truck kit is unique from a lot of other kits because it offers a choice of building a single or dual drive truck. My choice was the single drive for a custom build USAR rescue truck, based on the LAFD’s apparatus. With some custom work such as extending the frame, and alternate placement for the rear wheels as well as extending the drive shaft, this kit is great for use as a custom model as well as the design provided. Considering buying a second one to build a dual drive, as an Air/Light truck.

Instructions can be tricky. Definitely not for beginners. The overall build is good quality.

This is a pretty decent kit. It comes with 2 different frames, and 2 cab options. I decided to use the daycab, and used both frames to strech the wheelbase. It has fitment issues typical of AMT kits, and the cab won't tilt forward due to parts interfering with each other. I added a lift axle, and aftermarket Dayton steer wheels. It's a little expensive, but is easily modified, and builds into a good looking truck. I would recommend this kit

Good quality kit .but not for the unskilled

Its a fun build for modelers with experience. The parts don't have numbers, and the pictures to build it are ok. You have to be patient, some parts don't fit well so they need to be modified to fit. Fun build but not for the faint of heart.

a couple of things make this kit difficult, the instructions need to be read and re-read, as they are vague in areas, the front axle is too wide, the wheels stick out... the chassis crossmember is one piece not 2 with the additional supports, cab is difficult to get right due to multi-piece, the back wheels do not meet in the middle as the tyres prevent this, the rear hubs are too short, the rear suspension takes a bit of figuring out, as does the steering box, the front lights are too high, the exhaust stack supports are poorly rendered; this kit could be enhanced and parts thinned down but that is more for an experienced modeler, avoid if this is the first truck kit you want to build, it will put you off!

AMT…皆様のレビューを参考に、理解したつもりで挑戦しましたが、コレは…難易度がかなり高いです。少なくとも、私のようなサンデーモデラーが組み立てるには、時間が足りません。妻の入浴中にチマチマ組み立てて、３ヶ月かかりました。 パーツは、白色とメッキとランプ類のクリアホワイト、オレンジ、レッドのみという塗装必須の構成。各パーツのゲートが極太で、特にメッキパーツが、バリのあるままメッキされていて、ランナーから切り取ると、下地がメッチャ出てきます。(白色なのがまだ救いか？)説明書は、熟読してもよくわかりません。パズルを組み立てている気分です。さらにパーツは形があるだけで、デュアルドライブの各輪は全く合わず、水平、平行をバランスするのに何時間もかかりました。 が、完成すると、モールドはリアルで、75周年記念デカールも良い感じです。しかし、デカールが硬くて破れ易く貼るのに苦労しました。 本音は、コンボイ司令官カラーにしたかったのですが、もう塗装の時間が無くてキツくなってきたので、レッドマイカにパールクリアーの単色仕様です。 組み立て難易度の高さと、説明書の雑さ、パーツのバリの多さをマイナスにして、完成後の満足度を考えると、星３ですかね。シングルドライブのシャーシなどコンパチキット故のパーツ余りがありますので勿体ない気もします。 こちらの外国の方の写真レビューが物凄く参考になったので、私も写真をUPします。
