GSI Outdoors Red Graniteware Salt Shaker

The bottom has a tight seal which took me a bit of effort to get off. This I regard as a good thing, actually. I certainly don't want it falling off. It works as a shaker should and matches the red graniteware sets wonderfully. It is large though, be aware of that. It is bigger than the graniteware mugs. It is easy to handle and use though so I don't mind it's oversized nature.

Read the the other reviews and they couldn't get the bottom off. Well, problem now reversed. Not shown in the picture, mine came with the entire bottom a plastic cap, which is visible while in place so should be in photo. It is on so loose that it falls off when you fill the shaker with salt. Totally useless shaker and what a mess!

This is a beautiful salt shaker. The color is true red. I loved it until I had to remove the cover to refill the shaker. I had too much trouble removing the cover so I no longer use it. The reason it gets 3 stars is because of my inability to remove the cover.

Great red color - hard to open the bottoms at first, but if you soak in a little warm water the bottom comes off easier. Salt comes out fast. Great for the stove for adding to cooking.

I had a set of these shakers and set them too close to a stove top burner, melting the bottom of one. I could no longer purchase them locally, so immediately looked on Amazon, and was lucky enough to find them here. I was so happy! These are great for stove top use, but I will be much more careful this time. I received them quickly and would happily buy them from this seller again.

My kitchen is white with black appliances. I am using red accessories to brighten the kitchen. I fell in love with the red graniteware salt shaker. It reminded me of the one my grandmother use to keep by her stove. I am so pleased that Amazon had it available.

Shaker was sent out defective with 2 circular surface areas having what appears and felt to be a sharp edge grinning which was done into the metal making it thinner and burning it black. Definitely damaged and defective from start to finish.
