Not the same as the name brand
Definitely you get what you paid for. The denture doesn’t actually grip on the locator implants like the name brand models do. It’s almost like it’s the locator and there is no housing so the denture just sits on top of the locators passively.

Great for practicing hand scaling technique
No, I'm not a dental school student, but sometimes I play one on TV, so I think I can confidently recommend this model to anyone who needs to get a nice 3-D rendering of what's going on it a lot of people's mouths. The pandemic (and perpetually awful dental insurance) piqued my interest into how much dentistry I could do at home. The answer is complicated, but you can do SOME, at least some preventative maintenance, it turns out. I have quite the scaler collection and I'm getting better and better at keeping the Ritz crackers from sticking on a permanent basis. But some of the more complicated Gracie scalers require some mental gymnastics in terms of 3-D modeling in your brain to get the right angle, and angle is everything with hand scaling (says all the reliable textbooks, anyway). Enter this model, which is perfect for going through your tools and getting some muscle memory for each one and the angles required to get at that awful plaque and tartar. You don't want to go at your teeth all willy-nilly with sharp, professional instruments (which is why trained people get to use them, y'know?), and this model works wonders in getting your teeth out of your head and right in front of you to use. Tis an upper only, so my notions of figuring out how to do my own orthodontist work at home will have to wait for the next major lockdown (hopefully not for another 100 years and by then, everyone will be living in plastic wrap anyway, so good luck getting an extended period of time at home to learn new things). But that's fine, because I'm still 50% ahead of the game on my at-home dental education. Should I be doing this? Probably not without more education and someone else's teeth to work on, but thanks to this dental model, I just solved half that problem. FIVE STARS!
