20V MAX Pruning Shears Garden Tool, Cordless, Bare Tool Only (DCPR320B)

This tool exceeded my expectations for the price. I tested it by cutting up a Christmas tree to fit in my trash can with no trouble at all, and I also used it to trim two backyard fruit trees. It’s lightweight, easy to handle, and very ergonomic in the hand, which makes longer jobs much more comfortable. The 1.5” wide blade is a good size and works well overall. I do wish they offered a version closer to 2” wide, which would be even better. It can struggle a bit on thicker 1–1.5” branches, but it still gets the job done—sometimes it just takes 2–4 presses of the button. Where this unit really shines is on smaller branches in the 1/4” to 3/4” range, cutting them quickly and cleanly. Overall, it’s a solid, reliable tool that performs very well for the money. I’m very happy with it and would definitely recommend it for light to moderate trimming and cleanup.

This product has made my life so much easier. I used to trim trees with my DeWalt electric saw. It works great for cutting thicker branches — no problem at all. But when it comes to smaller branches, it gets a bit tricky. Since the branches are thin, they tend to shake and move around, which makes them harder to cut cleanly. After buying this new electric pruner, my problem is completely solved. It cuts small branches easily and smoothly without all the hassle. It’s honestly a fantastic tool and saves me a lot of time and effort. The only downside is that it’s a little bulky. If it could be designed in a more straight, vertical style — kind of like a regular electric saw — it would be absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!

This tool works best with the large Dewalt battery. I had to cut hundreds of small surface roots from an oak tree. In the past I tried to do the job with hand a cutter. After my hand became sore I bought the Dewalt pruning shear. It WORKED GREAT. You get about 100 full power cuts then you will need a recharge. 20 minutes later I was back at work. This cutter is fantastic able to cut roots an inch in diameter. Be sure to blow off any soil on the cutting parts then oil them. I would purchase this tool again. Thank you for a quality product.

Absolutely a life-saving pruning tool for seniors with weakened hand grip and suffering from grip and hand fatigue during gardening work due to aging hand joints and muscles. Strong, quick, clean cuts with no effort. Also, the power and safety switches worked great unlike some of their DEWALT 20V MAX 20 inch chainsaw.

This thing makes yard work a breese. Saves a lot of time not using the big shears or the hand operated pruner. With just one battery I am able to break down branches to fit in our yard waste bags. Very solid build and its original not a cheap knock off so you know it will last. Go ahead and buy it, you wont regret this purchase either.

Works great. Very helpful for heavy duty pruning. Glad I bought it. Sharp and not too heavy. Battery goes for ever if you use the brand name.

Great little tool for yard work and projects. Husband recommends not cutting into wire. Blade doesn’t like it, and causes swearing. Cuts like a hot knife through butter he professed, it will remove a limb no problem. Full charged battery lasts about an hour. Grip will cause blisters to the webbing of the thumb?! Wear gloves.

I have acres of Broom ( an invasive species in the Pacific Northwest). I was a little undecided about a purchase of this loper when I first saw this item on Amazon. But, after wearing out my shoulders using large two-handled lopers on the Broom, I decided to try the De Walt hand loper. It arrived in typical Amazon hypersonic time. The battery and charger have to be purchased separately - remember that. The blade is sharp, the unit is not very heavy for one-handed use and has a unique safety trigger is built into the handle. It only took an hour to charge, and I went to the Broom field. The blades are removable with a supplied integral Allen key for replacement. I could cut 1.5" Broom stalks with ease and with two or three cuts, 2" thick ones. The blade is quick and cuts the Broom everything- Broom, Blackberry, thistle, misc bushes- with almost no effort. The gearing is incredible. I spent at least 1.5 hours cutting and still had the power to cut, which amazed me. It is easy to handle, designed and built to keep fingers away from the blades, not unduly heavy and performs as described. A great addition for any gardener or landscaper!

Although I haven't used as yet from the feel of the product has a good weight to it and appears to be a solid construction. Looks wise it is the business. I have some other similar product but doesn't have the same weight, rigidity to it. So, I believe the DWALT will be a strong performer.

Really good quality product. Saw this one various YouTube videos by property maintenance guys and decided to buy one. This seems very well built and feels like a tool that will last forever. Dewalt sells replacement cutting blades as well to extend the life of the tool. Great for pruning and then chopping branches into very small lengths to fit into green bin. Makes hundreds of cuts on an old 1ah battery. Never saw a branch that fit inside the jaws that it couldn’t cut. Used to do this with long handled lopers and it took a really long time. Great product.
