This works perfect for hot or cold knee wraps. The velcro straps work well and are easy to use and adjust. The material is soft and comfortable but stays in place. Also nicely priced. Doesn't stay warm as long as some clay wraps, but heats up quickly in the microway.

This Joint wrap is the best product I've come across for people who suffer any kind of joint, neck, shoulder, or lower back pain. You just pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds, turn it over and 30 seconds again, and you have nice warm moist heat for at least an hour. It is so soothing for joint pain, I even tried it on my German Shepherd with hip dysplacia and he thouroughly enjoyed it because it put him right into a deep sleep. Then I tried it on my hyper female GSD who has a very hard time relaxing, I put it on her hip area and she also fell into a very deep trance and then she fell into a deep sleep. This is so unusual for her to be this relaxed, and I am happy to say it works just as well on humans!! The price is right on Amazon, and I couldn't find this product in any retail stores!

This wrap doesn’t stay as cold as the classic bed buddy. It’s convenient for arm pain, but better with heat.

I thought this item was exactly what I was looking for because it is perfect for wrapping around elbow BUT, it does not get cold. Package states it gets cold in 4 hours. I’ve had in the freezer for multiple days and it gets cool but does NOT get cold like stated on the packaging. Unfortunately it did not state that it was a non refundable item when I purchased.

These are amazing and we’ve used them for over 2 years; however, we have now had 2 of them catch on fire in the microwave by only heating them for 1.5 minutes.

I’ve only used hot, for my thumbs and wrists. I was able to wrap it side by side to get both my thumb and inner wrist. I considered glove type hot packs, but wanted my fingers free for the tv remote and such. Not too heavy. They are a bit finicky to heat long enough to stay therapeutically hot for 15 minutes, but not be too hot to apply straight out of the microwave. The same 1 minute time can have variable results, even when I rotate them in the microwave to heat evenly. A bit oddly smelling, like dried peas, but doesn’t linger too badly. Nicely sized for hands/wrists, good price, and sufficient for my needs though. Velcro works well enough but I don’t expect these to last too long. They definitely don’t stay hot long term, but my hand therapist said to only use for 15 minutes at a time to avoid swelling, so them cooling off serves as a timer.

I am very particular about smells (use unscented everything) and I did not detect any odor from this product. The packaging says it is filed with natural grains, NOT polymers as some reviews state. Yes it's got some weight to it, that's what I wanted. I returned an electric heating pad I bought locally because it felt the same as laying a piece of paper over my shoulder. The directions say to lay it flat in the microwave but it's too big to do that in most microwaves. We folded it in half, nuked for 30 seconds, shook it around and folded the other way for 15 seconds and repeated for a total of 60 seconds. It was plenty hot--too hot to immediately put on bare skin. It stayed warm about 15 minutes which is fine as far as I'm concerned. This was by far the cheapest Bed Buddy at the time of my purchase ($13.49 with free SuperSaver shipping). Since you get 2, you have the option of hooking them together or laying them side by side. Or if you only use one at a time, they will last twice as long.

I have several severe arthritis conditions, and moist heat helps me more than anything. I've used the back buddy with the velcro strap for over 16 years. I've gone through several of them actually. Always thought that one that could be easily used for knees, elbows, wrists, shoulders etc. would be great. Ask and you shall receive! I actually give this product line to people as gifts when they are newly diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and other joint/back problems. They have been a life saver for me over the past 16+ years. They also work great to apply to your stomach if you have cramps. There are 2 in a package and the velcro straps allow them to be very easily attached to one of the above mentioned joints, and brings me great relief. Putting it around the shoulder is a little tricky, but if someone is home to help you put it in place, it's not a big deal. Each person will have to play with the microwave time to see what is best for them, and also because different microwaves heat to different temps. Amazon's price was fantastic. These things can be much higher priced if you are lucky enough to even find one in a drug store.

The bed buddy is a joint wrap. Or any where it can fit on your body if you have pain. You can have it hot or cold. It's weighted which helps with the joint pain. I where it out. And people ask me about it . And where they can buy it. I tell them Amazon. 2 people already order it. And the straps stretched to fit. I LOVE IT

Helped with my pain using it as cold therapy. It would help if the design had some sort of hook so that it doesn't loosen up when I try to wrap around my arm using the velcro. I can't tighten it enough unless I ask someone else to help me.
