We needed a new one for charging batteries. This one works as it should. Easy to set up and use for vehicle, mowers and ATV's. Good value for money. Works fantastic. Quick to charge. Simple to use. Seems sturdy and durable. Highly recommend!

In an effort to help my fellow tinkerers who are simply looking for a REAL Lithium-ion (Li-ion) charger, this is it. I know that it has other settings, but I was only concerned with Li-ion battery charging and this charger performed excellently. I needed a specific charger for a specific battery and this charger specifications were perfect. I spent hours looking for a dedicated Li-ion charger and there didn't seem to be any that absolutely claimed to do this well. I needed a specific amount of amperage, and this charger was again perfect. I started the charging with the battery at 11.91V DC and the charger applied 5.8 amps (I was real happy to see that) so at that point I realized that the "smart aspect" was probably accurate, it didn't start pounding 12 amps right off the bat (which I was prepared to instantly disconnect if I saw that). Amperage started appropriately dropping throughout the charging process at a rate that I thought was correct. The battery never got hot, and the charger stayed cool also. I monitored the charging process the whole time because the battery I was charging was new and unknown to me, and I didn't want to damage it. The charging cables and AC line are (in my opinion) extremely small and undersized but did not cause any problems nor did they get warm to the touch. I do not know how far the charging would have proceeded, I stopped it at 12.6V because this battery is a unique proprietary unit and I did not want to "experiment". LA, LiFePO4, Ni-cad, etc. chargers are easy to find (and I have plenty) but if you need a true Li-ion charger for a medium sized battery (mine was 13500mAh) this charger works great. Highly recommended.

Seems ok

The battery charger battery leads are poorly attached to the attachment clips with the positive clip falling off of the battery lead upon removing the charger from the packaging. The negative lead also fell of the battery lead upon the first use of the charger. Both battery leads were repaired with a positive soldered connection. The 2 prong power plug is of very low quality and easily dislodged it self from the power receptacle requiring tweaking of the plug prongs and some abrasion of the very smooth prongs to provide resistance to disengagement. The charger does work well and as advertised, I would not recommend the charger and in my opinion should not be offered for sale to the general public as it appears to be a prototype. The seller shipped a replacement battery charger free of charge, with the replacement found to be in good condition and operated correctly. My thanks to the seller for offering to replace the defective unit I originally received.

but it cooked one battery and maybe two for me.the first one was in my polaris slingshot, because of health problem it had set in the garage and the battery very low so I,first time using this charger I hooked it up, the next morning I could smell the battery when I stepped into the garage and when I started to removed the side plate to get to the battery the outside cover what hot, inside the battery was too hot to touch, I am glade it did not explode.after the battery cooled off I hooked another charger to the battery and it would not start to charge. this was a very expensive battery to replace ($ 245.00) I think that was close to the price. the second was my Honda car I was working on.leaving the doors open, turning the engine the battery was getting low so I put the charger on is and after two or three hours this battery was getting very warm, I removed this new charger and put my old one back after a while the battery seem to be taking a charge. the bad thing about it could have burn my house down, so buyers beware of the charge you buy.

this will do 12 amps which is more than enough unless your battery is totally dead and you have to go somewhere in 10 minutes...at this rate it will not damage the battery and the only reservation i might have over time is the light gauge of the positive and negative cables and the very short power cord. the unit itself is very small and lightweight, and the display is nice and easy to read and understand. i have an amg battery in my truck and like to top it off since it sits alot, this charger has a specific function for that design. i might get a second since i have vehicles that sit and are hooked up to 1 amp trickle chargers. they usually need to be disconnected and connected again to 'maintain' charge, this charger also has a specific function that i plan on testing to see if it is truly a trickle charger that requires no oversight. highly recommend.
