Terrible to work on
The light globes are notorious for getting stuck on. After trying for 2 hours and several YouTube vides I had to smash it with a hammer. I had to do this to check the code on the not working remote. After I smashed the globe off the main nut that holds everything together was frozen. After hitting the foot long 7/8" wrench with a hammer it still would not come off. I sprayed with WD40 and will give a few hours. So after 4 hours of beating and swearing I still do have it apart where I can see the model number or check the codes. I have installed and fixed 15 or 20 fans in the past but I will never ever purchase a Hampton Bay fan again. What should have taken 10 minutes is a day wasted. I just want to hack saw the thing off the ceiling and install a good fan.

Too loud
Looks great. I haven’t even tried the Wifi smart. I’m taking back to big box store. It is too loud when the motor run the fan, even on the lowest setting of the fan. It’s annoying. I did not realize how noiseless one could be until I bought a hydra harbor breeze. No noise at all in my kitchen - even on the highest setting. So, I will be taking it down, and bringing back to the big box store and getting another hydra for my bedroom.
