These beads are made with nice soft silicone. The letters are somewhat bubbly and kind of pop out; they're bold, clear and easy to read. With all sides of the beads being lettered so no matter which side they turn on the string you can still read the words. These are the perfect size to accent with larger or smaller beads. I like the smaller size for the letters to use with larger beads around the word or initials, to add depth or character to my projects. Each bead is even and made with nice quality silicone. There are no smudges of black paint because the letters are made in silicone and not painted on. The holes are all uniform size and very easy to thread. Perfect beads for all kinds of crafts and great value. You get 4 of each letter and 5 for most of the vowels. Great deal! ... They came in a sealed bag with a ziplock top, I put them in the box in the photo to make it easier to organize and see.

The quality of the letter beads is excellent with deeply inset letters perfectly inked. The silicone is firm but still a little soft. I especially appreciated knowing exactly the number of beads per letter I was buying unlike other letter beads where you might get a lot of one letter and none of others. The one issue I'm having is that the opening hole is very small. It is difficult to insert even one strand of standard size plastic cord. I'm doing a program for kids to make keychain dangles for their backpacks and they need to be able to insert a double strand of cord which is nearly impossible for kids. I had to go searching for more narrow cord options. Even much smaller beads have a larger opening than these. I deliberately bought them for their large size but never imagined the openings would be so small.
