I've been using Zum for over 10 years (spray, soap, laundry detergent) and all are superb. This is a long overdue review. I saw the negative reviews about the spray bottle and had to get the truth out. The patchouli spray is absolutely fantastic and the product I use the most. It's the best you'll find! I've worn patchouli for over 25 years and tried all kinds of brands and products and no one comes close to Zum when it comes to the perfect patchouli smell. The spray stays on all day. I usually spray 1-2 spritz on myself and I will have people tell me: ---"you smell really good, what is that?" ---"are you wearing patchouli? that smells so good". ---"I usually don't like patchouli, but that actually smells good" I've gotten and still get these comments consistently for years. I have also used the spray as a room spray and it does not disappoint. Many of the other brands I have tried do not smell great, there's something off about them and I end up not wearing them and tossing them out. Zum is legit and so consistent. As I said, over 10 years and it always smells wonderful with the balance of earth and sweet being on point. I don't buy anything else. I've also had several friends and acquaintances start using Zum because they liked my smell so much. NOTE - most of the negative reviews seem to be about the bottles. Here's the thing - natural patchouli oil is sticky and it separates in liquid (like oil and vinegar). 1. Shake it well right before you spray. 2. The bottle will eventually get sticky and not pump as easily. Every patchouli oil I've ever tried has eventually ended up with the cap/bottle/spray nozzle getting very sticky. When this happens, I take the spray off, run in under hot water and use a paper towel to wipe it clean and then you're good to go. Get this, you will be so happy with the smell and quality of this product. ps - I've had a couple times when I needed to contact customer support, they've always been awesome and helpful.

So, I first found this spray in a health store back in like 2012 or so. The Patchouli. It smelled heavenly. It was like magic. I never smelled something so enchanting and beautiful and bewitching before. I used it sparingly, but ran out eventually and didn't know where else to get it. I finally remember it, find it on Amazon and buy it again. I shook it up to mix it and unscrewed the bottle to smell that beautiful aroma and...RANCID. I use a lot of essential oils at home, and I know when they have expired and gone bad. THAT is the exact smell that came from this bottle of Zum Indigo Wild Mist Room & Body Spray Patchouli. I could tell that either Zum/Indigo Wild either changed the formula and was using lower quality, cheap oils now, OR that their supply in the Amazon Warehouse had gone bad. And here is where I was most put off, and the reason for the 1 Star instead of say a 3. I decided to inform them via their website. The agent I spoke to couldn't care less. He apologized, but basically said it's not their problem and then told me how to make a return on Amazon step by step. Thanks, I am aware of how to return an item! If I were the owner or manager of a small business, I would WANT TO KNOW if any of my distributors were selling expired or rancid products. THIS IS YOUR NAME THAT IS ON THE LINE! But, this agent acted like I'm the dope for contacting him. Okay. Also bought the Frankincense and Myrrh spray. Returning that too. Expected an ethereal scent of church incense, and all it smells like is liquid baby powder. Three strikes. Would not recommend.

Just what I expected. Beautiful earthy smell. Strong at first but like it a lot

I've only purchased the Patchouli scent. Terrible smell. I didn't find it even close to the scent I was expecting. Also, the scent dissipates quickly. Which, in the case of this particular scent is a good thing. I will be calling to find out how to receive a refund. I'm curious about the lavender scent, but, I'll be checking reviews if I decide to try it.

The scent is definitely patchouli though a very rough form. It has that sort of sickening smell that patchouli sometimes has. The smell lasts about 30 seconds. I tried spraying it on myself, my clothing, and bedding and in all cases the scent just disappeared. And yes, I shook it really well first
