Learning and Fun! Highly recommend!
My kiddo got this for his 6th birthday and we all love it! It has the perfect combination of fun and learning, without even realizing he’s learning! You can set the mode to only make pizzas, or to make pizzas along with having to give customers change. Then, you can control whether you want to use coins or just dollars, and if you are using coins, which coins you want to be included in the change! My son is in Kindergarten, so not doing much subtraction yet, but just after playing this two times, he was catching on! There’s also a competitive aspect to it because there are goals to meet, like making so much money at your pizza shop, making a certain number of customers happy, etc. Then, you can buy virtual items to decorate the pizza shop with once you’ve earned money from “working!” Just a heads up for new Osmo users, you do have to have the base and the mirror topper for the iPad already purchased before you can use this game!

Awesome game for logic and math development!
My 5 year old is obsessed with pizza. I mean, if every item in the world could be made of pizza, that's his heaven right there. I saw this game and thought "let's focus that pizza frenzy". It's worked. He loves this game. It's a fun concept of working out the visual logic of object placement and reading the emotional and vocal cues of the "customers", and then working out the math of the money they pay versus the amount of change they are due. There are several levels of difficulty, from whole numbers down to cents. It's fantastic. The visuals are engaging and the rewards keep kids playing. It doesn't' feel like homework, but there's serious learning happening. 5+stars.

Easy to use, like other Osmo games!
Love this game, but didn't realize it didn't come with the base or reflector, which are required for this game. That's probably just the fact that I didn't look at it close enough and I am new to Osmo. Make sure you get the base and reflector if you don't already have them to play this game. It's definitely a cute game and the educational value of Osmo games is great!

This is a winner
The pizza game is a huge hit at our house. My kids got Osmos for Christmas and loved them so much they elected to spend their Christmas money on more games. My 7 year old got this one, but her 8 year old brother plays it as well. It basically comes with the pizza toppings, the money and a circle that doubles as your pizza and the change counter. You're running a pizza shop and your customers come in and give their order. They do this in a few different ways. They may show a smiley face next to one type of topping, indicating that they like that one, and a frown next to another because they don't want any of that. Sometimes it will show certain toppings go on certain fractions of the pizza and sometimes they give their order in a "word problem". They may say something like "I only eat fish" or "I only like vegetables". You can choose the types of clues that are given and add timers and such in the game settings. So, now you have their order and you go to work making the pizza. The system recognizes the toppings you put on and the placement and this shows on the screen. The customer's reaction will indicate whether or not they are happy with their order. Then you have to physically slide the pizza over to "put it in the oven". After you wait on several customers, you will see the gray circle pop up letting you know that you have customers waiting to check out. You simply flip your pizza over to the gray side and the screen shows your customers waiting to pay. They place their money on the counter and you have to add up the amount they gave you. It shows the cost of their pizza and you have to make change. You do this by getting the money pieces from your tray and placing them on the gray circle. If you're right, you will hear the cha-ching cash register sound. It does pop the numbers up to help them out after a while if they get stuck. Again, you can go to your settings to choose the difficulty. I believe you can choose bills only, or the types of coins you want to deal in. At the end of your business day, it pops up to show you how much you made that day. I really like that it shows how much you brought in on pizza and adds in your tips then subtracts your expenses. The cost of the ingredients used and the delivery service are your expenses. This gives them their profit for the day. Their profit goes into their piggy bank and they can use this money to decorate their shop or upgrade their ovens and equipment. This game is an excellent learning tool. It's a game, so they're having fun while working on important skills. They're learning to follow specific instructions, working on their math skills, etc. I like that you can adjust the difficulty of all of it to fit your needs. Literally the only complaint I have is with the currency. This set has quarters, dimes, nickels, pennies, $10, $5, $2 and $1 bills. $2 bills? Seriously? Why? It would have been so much more beneficial if they had stuck with common currency. I should also add that this includes the storage container and all of the game pieces fit inside nicely. All in all, I'm happy with the game and they absolutely love it. I do hope they plan to offer replacement parts because I can see the "pizza" wearing out over time from all of the flipping.

Super fun educational game
Super fun game. I love playing this with my kids. It's really helping them learn math and how to handle money. It can get fast pace, but it has other setting for younger kids. It comes with trays to keep things organized and so it's easy to store Lol I think I like playing this more then my kids honestly

Very fun and interactive!
**You do need to already have the Osmo camera and base, as this is just an add on game.** This is a great game for kids to learn how to repeat back and start giving back change. It’s a fun, interactive game where you get customers wanting individualized pizza orders, you make and bake their order, slide it over for them to eat, they pay, you give necessary change, and done! You can chose the difficulty, so if the kids can’t count back change yet, they can just do pizzas. Each customer gives stars based on experience and those stars determine how many customers you’ll get next time. The “profits” you earn can be used to buy a new oven/decor for your pizza store. Overall, it’s a really fun game that teaches multiple things!

A great way to engage kids so that learning is both fun & interactive!
This game engages both my 4 & 5 yr olds. It's a great way to introduce money, making change, time management, and saving/investing money into a business. It's also a great way to teach children to interpret what a customer wants and read their expressions. The pieces are thick for little hands to easily grab and will hold up to long-term use. The storage container makes it easy to organize & keep track of the pieces. Osmo has outdone themselves yet again, and made homeschooling much more engaging and less stressful! A+++

I am really impressed with the quality of this product, my 5 year old loves it. Not too interested in the word game at the moment, but loves the numbers and tangram. I purchased 'pizza co' and 'coding awbie' separately and he loves these too. All the osmo apps are free but you do need the osmo stand and reflector for the iPad or tablet (we use iPad). I did not buy the base for monster app, we found a white board or paper (but you have to keep using a new piece of paper with each drawing) did the job (sorry osmo) same with the newton app, we found the reflector could see lego pieces and used this info to make the game playable without purchasing all the pieces. I do highly recommend and am saving for the detective board for geography.. well done osmo. Nothing in this starter kit can't be done on the cheap, such as good old fashion pen and paper because of this it makes osmo a lot of money, but I think the next generation just learn more interactively with tech. I'm happy because I got a discount at Christmas, I also found with research that I could save some money by buying the genius starter kit and adding other games that need interactive board and pieces etc. you might find you can by the base and reflector and then just get the free apps, that way you can use pen and paper for e.g. And then decide if you want to pay up. Although they do grow with this product, at least over the next 10 years!
