Zoe's Ghana Kitchen

I ordered this book after a conversation with a friend of Ghanaian descent, who made me salivate, describing the dishes from his traditional cuisine. There is no west African restaurant where I live, so I decided to give it a go, using his book as a guide. Now, without actual reference, I cannot vouch for authenticity. Still, I must say that it opened up a window into some exciting flavor combinations and cooking techniques and approaches. We also enjoyed many great meals in the process. Easy to use with clear instructions and enough introduction to get you started. I recently ordered a few west African ingredients and will give some recipes another go. Yummy stuff.

I have found Zoe's Ghana Kitchen to be the most engaging cookbook I have read, and now used, in a decades. It's full of great Ghanian recipes, every possible course, with some western influences appetizing photos and 'Zoe's story' -just wonderful. It is a thorough guide to modern Ghanian cooking, including sourcing recommendations, substitutes & alternatives. I couldn't recommend 'Zoe's Ghana Kitchen' more highly. Join the African food revolutiion! Can't wait for more cookbooks from the mighty Zoe!

WAY too spicy for my hubby, but I'm enjoying the heat surprisingly as I've never gotten into hot peppers very much. The recipes are easy to modify for those less adventurous with the heat. Delicious recipes and so enjoying different flavors I've never had before.

Over the last couple of years I’ve been exploring western African dishes and the impact it has in other food cultures. I highlight this in my eatwith dinner parties. This book right here is my next semester of culinary studies. Thank you Zoe! These cheat sheets are everything!!!

It feels like Zoe is talking right to you as she leads you through snippets of Ghanaian culture and also through the recipes. She even has an American translation in the back which was crucial to getting the right things!!

This cookbook has a wide range of recipes. I didn't realize Ghana has so many varieties of recipe to explore!

I will be cooking a varity of these meals. The recipes are eary to follow . The display of the foods are very inviting . I am sure my grandson will enjoy helping me make some of these masterpieces

Zoe's book is absolutely wonderful! It is interesting, informative, relevant and quite complete. I have already planned a whole party around her Kyonkyinga recipe, which is so much like what I enjoyed in Ghana more than 50 years ago. The party is tomorrow and I will report back to Zoe for sure.

Ghanaian cuisine is something very new for my husband and I. But we love the food that Zoe picked. She wrote it beautifully thus it’s easy for us to follow each recipe.

Received this package today with Zoe's Ghana kitchen and two other books. Inspite of repeated complaints, hardcover books are being dumped into these thin paper bags and expected to get transported from state to state without getting damaged. It's so frustrating to see brand new books arriving damaged. Of late I have had multiple incidents like these with all the hardcover books. Some get torn near the binding, some get torn at the corners. After placing an order, I just sit back pray and hope that the books should arrive unscathed. The books need to be wrapped using corrugated roll or atleast all four edges should have cardboard pieces placed to protect the corners. It's such a waste of resources and loss to the seller if I have to request a replacement because of unfit packaging used causing damage during transit.

My Ghanaian mum just bought this for me and I love it! It's a gorgeous book with stunning photographs of mouth-watering food that make me miss Ghana all the more. Zoe also weaves in a bit of her life story and mingles Ghanaian with Irish and other influences. Highly recommend!
