Deffo a handy addition to my maker. My only gripe is that I have to stain it again after. However it gets 4 stars just because a dont have to squeeze anything anymore

This is my second magical butter filter press.. my first one clips holding the filter in place broke.. so you need to be very careful twisting the top into place!! Other than that the filter works really well and makes the whole process far easier! This is also a far better price than the original one I bought! Decent delivery time and given free stickers!

Great filter press, used for straining mushrooms used to make medicinal tinctures. Easy to use and clean and leaves a nice clean product at the end of straining whilst still allowing the good bits like polysaccharides through. Could potentially do with going a bit lower on the micron scale but for it's price point it does a great job.

I have a lot of really great tools in my apothecary. This press/strainer is absolutely fantastic. I think it might be my favourite tool. It is so easy to press out your oil from your macerated herbs. There’s no mess. It gets every last drop out and it’s easy to clean. Also, you can work with smaller amounts, unlike the larger fruit presses that I usually use for my tinctures. It’s worth twice the price they are charging! I am seriously considering getting a second one just in case something breaks on my first one. I love it that much.

I think this is a good value for the money, because it actually works! Straight up, I waited for the Amazon days to catch the discount which made it even sweeter, but the bottom line is it works even at full price! The thing with this press is to not guerriller it I repeat do not throw your weight into this, you want to pour off your liquid and try to keep the solids back and let it strain let it drip in its own time and then you're going to use the plunger to help squeeze the last of your carrier whether it's oil or butter or alcohol out of the solids. When I first got this and tried it I was leaning into it a bit and did not break anything of course I wasn't that crazy, but it's something that you just want to let strain out let the gravity help. I found this to be very efficient and very pleasant to use with great results. It's very easy cleanup and I recommend . Yes I did all the old school methods and grabbed everything in my kitchen that I could think of and even picked up some things that I thought would help ,along the way of doing infusions. It's fun being clever but you know what this is a timesaver, and to me it's worth it I was very pleased with the results and I have absolutely no regrets that I purchased this. It's well made it's well thought out and it's easy enough to use if you handle it with care and use it smartly you will have no problems. Even if you're not using the magical butter machine, and you're extracting/infusing however you wish, you'll find this a valuable tool. Just use it smartly and you'll be very impressed with the results! Happy infusing!
