My dog loves it and it works!
My 12 year old pup has been taking this supplement for the past 3 years or so. He gets some stiffness in his hips from time to time which I notice had decreased significantly since he started taking the supplement. There have only been a couple of times where I didn’t refill in time to avoid a gap in his treatment and I could definitely see he seemed more stiff at this time. He takes 1/2 two times a day so I love this large size for such a great price, which will last me almost a year. The only thing a little frustrating with the advanced strength is the density of the tablet which makes it harder to break in half. Some tablets seem a bit more packed than others so for those, I use scissors, but most days if I just put it on the edge of the counter and kind of pull downward it will split. It’s not annoying enough to deter me from using the product. My dog seems to love the flavor and had no problems eating them and they are working so I will continue daily until the end!

Just as good as the prescription version.
We switched our dog from the high priced Vet prescribed medicine to this and haven’t noticed any deterioration. Seems to work just as well.

Max Says OK
My Dobie, Max, has a fairly common hip and joint problem. My vet had prescribed Rejuvenate which worked quite well. When the prescription expired I ordered Rejuvenate Plus from Amazon because my vet was no longer available unless I paid an outrageous fee for her to write just a prescription renewal. I mistakenly believed that since the names Rejuvenate and Rejuvenate Plus were similar the results might be similar as well. Was I ever wrong. The Rejuvenate Plus made Max sick and when he started digging through his food to find it and throwing it on the floor I was getting concerned. Then, when he did not find it in his food, where it was mixed with some meat, and he unknowingly ate it and started vomiting I threw the Rejuvenate Plus in the trash. I decided to check out the contents of this Nutri-Vet and noticed that it contained some of the ingredients that were in his former prescription so I placed the order. I give him the Nutri-Vet every morning with his food. He has no objection to it and does not throw it on the floor but gobbles it down. He seems to be getting up a bit easier especially after he has been laying down for an hour or more. This Nutri-Vet seems to be working as well as the prescription did in aiding his getting up and down. I.will continue to give him these tablets and if all continues to go well I will reorder this product when the current supply runs out. It is sad to see your pet struggle just to get up and this Nutrri-Vet is doing well to assist in that effort.

Works but our doggie doesn't like them
Our big ole Great Pyrenees (13) was struggling on stairs & getting up so we gave these a try after using them years ago with another big dog. For the first year or so, he liked them but now we have to bribe him with cat treats (his favorite) to get him to eat his "cookie". Pyrenees notoriously picky so it might just be our dog. These did give him a lot of relief physically but we are going to try another brand to see if we can get a tastier treat for him that will still help him.

Amazing!!!
My vet wanted to do stretch on my dog. Both hind leg knees because the tendon kept sliding out of the knee. At the time I couldn't afford the surgery so I bought these, hoping it would give her a little comfort. She's only 2 years old!! After 3 weeks of eating these twice a day, the tendon stopped sliding. We went from she couldn't straighten her back leg a dozen times a day and I had to move it back into place, to it just didn't do it anymore. So now I give her 1 a day to maintain and she's been doing great. Maybe when she gets older, the issue will come back and she'll need surgery then but for now she's OK and can walk without an issue in the knees. Smell is nothing crazy or too potent. They are not soft. It's a hard tablet. It's a good size but for my dog and weight, I just cut them in half which was really easy to do. My dog had no issue eating it so they must taste good and therefore are way to use

Excellant results!*** Product changed 6/17 & is no longer a good product.*** Will not purchase again.
I have been giving this product to both my arthritic dogs for several years. This is about the most cost effective product that I have found. I also give them a 1000mg fish oil cap daily (punctured & squeezed onto their food) & "Dog Pain Away" (a natural herbal arthritis product). I was giving them "Dog Gone Pain" , but it was less cost effective than the "Dog Pain Away" . They seem to work equally well. I was able to discontinue the prescription Tramadol which upset one of my dog's digestive system.******************UPDATE JUNE 2017******* My last order of this product was very disappointing. The manufacturer has apparently changed the product & it is not for the best. It always amazes me that companies think that they can make changes to a product to save money & expect people to continue to buy a sub-standard product. The tablets are no longer scored & it is impossible to break them in half to give my dog his correct dosage. The tablets just crumble into a mess when you try to cut them in half. I am totally disgusted with this product. I have used this product for approximately 10 years for my dog with great results, but this will be the last bottle that I buy because the manufacturer saved a few pennies by no longer scoring the tablets!!! Wonder what pea-brained idiot at the company thought that was a good idea? Bet they never tried to break the tablets!!!!!!!!!

My 6 year old female Doberman acts like a puppy again
Started giving my precious 6 year old female Doberman Nutri-Vet Hip & Joint Advanced Strength Chewable Tablets for Dogs by Nutri-Vet Wellness after X-rays showed calcium build up along her spine. . My Doberman had been X-ray for hip dysplasia and a full body scan after she came down with a unknown illness that left her almost unable to walk without yelping. Long story short. She is fully healed with no reason for what caused all the problems that eventually led up to the lympnodes in her throat swelling, after the veterinary preformed a operation for a biopsy on her throat. (No cancer) A week later the lump disappeared. This all happened in less than 6 weeks. My Doberman last almost 10 pounds. Before her unknown illness we were walking a average of 4 1/2 miles a day. During her illness we rarely walked and when we did, it would be a very short and slow walk. The veterinary started her on Rimadyl, the prescription medicine helped but I wanted a natural alternate way to help my Doberman. That's when I started her on the tablets, but anyone who has a stubborn dog knows what it's like to give their previous animal a pill who refuses to take the pill in a treat or crushed up into food. 'Nope Nope Momma..do you think I'm stupid I can smell the medicine' (that's my dog talking) I have to stuff the huge 2 pills down her throat twice a day and give her a treat afterwards Now I started giving her 1 Nutri-vet hip and joint treat after her 1 Nutri-Vet pill instead of 2. My Doberman loves the taste of the treat without knowing its her medicine. Now we're back to 4 1/2 miles a day. She had a full physical a few months after her illness, her veterinary was so impressed with her improvement. Showed him the bottle of Nutri-Vet & Joint. That I give her 2 pills A.M and 2 P.M. He wants her to remain Rimadyl but only half a dose because of the pain. Told him I have a new puppy now, for that's how she acts. . P.S. During her illness I kept a journal of my Doberman's health issues, both veterinarians recommended I keep the journal for we still don't know what caused all the problems.
