Well one day my husband read the book to our son when I was not home and they put all of the pacifiers in a bag, and the fairy came and took them away and left a little gift. I was kind of mad that my husband did it without thinking, but now I'm glad that he did because it WORKED! Our son loved getting little gifts for the next few days from the fairy, and within 3 days he didn't mention his pacifier at all. It's now been several months, and he sometimes still finds pacifiers hidden throughout the house, but he gives them to me so the fairy will come take them away, and she always leaves him a little piece of candy in return. I highly recommend this book, it worked so well for us. Review: The pictures are nice and the story is cute. I don't particularly care for some of the messages conveyed, e.g. your teeth will start standing out like those of a bunny rabbit; no one your age - except you - uses the pacifier (group pressure?). Will send it back.

My son loved this book. We read it every night until he was ready to give up his pacifier. Worked like charm. Definitely a must for getting the kids to give up the pacifier.
