Great product, works as intended. Helps with cutting smaller pieces, keeps your hands safe. That’s why I bought it. Great price also.

When I first opened the box of this tool I was a little wary based on the somewhat plasticky and inexpensive feel and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get it to fit securely to my Dewalt cordless circular saw base plate. After assembly and a little fiddling I was able to confidently get it secured and I have since been using it to rip a small amount off of replacement doors in our home. With this tool and a new saw blade, it has done a pretty flawless job. Every cut has been smooth and even and pretty easy to keep straight. For a budget tool that I needed essentially just for these door installs, it has been pretty good.

Great idea - poorly executed. A guide for a power tool need to be a solid piece. You can't have a steel shaft going into a weird plastic tooth clamp that doesn't hold properly. As soon as even the smaller pressure is put on it - it moves - a guide, Once in motion, cannot move. Make this again as the mounting plate for the power tool is good, just make the guide out of steel with no moving parts.

Poorly written instructions and difficult to see pictures on this purchase. Needed 2 people to figure out how it was supposed to fit on jigsaw, and discovered that it can barely be held in place on my corded Ryobi orbital variable speed saw. Seems to fit more easily on older lower end saws with flat top shoes. Almost afraid to try using on the expensive wood I need to cut, so no great review for this Milescraft product. Even if it works, I cannot recommend it for jigsaw unless you are ready to return if you can't make it fit safely. On the other hand it works fine on my 7/14 circular saw so its not a total loss. I will try to modify this unit to secure on my jifaw, but that is not a happy effort on my part. Since other "universal fits" all seem to be the same, it is worthy of average rating, but no more.

I specifically picked this because it was labeled as universal so I could use with my jigsaw and skill saw. It’s clear adding the skill saw function was an after thought. The plastic wing nuts and double sided screws to lock the guide onto the saw aren’t reliable and don’t give a tight enough fit to trust. The saw was able to easily shift not only giving a bad cut, but exposing the user to potential harm when it unexpectedly shifts away from the guide. I haven’t used it for the jigsaw yet but because it will sit in the middle of the device it will probably be more secure. The included instructions leave a lot To be desired on proper setup and use, I wasn’t able to find any setup/demo videos that Boone online either.
