We have a fiberglass shower enclosure with a hot and a cold valve that were irreparable. We had to go with a mixer valve. After much research I decided this cover plate situation seemed the most promising of all the options on the market. The plumber, originally reluctant, ended up being impressed with the product. It covered the old holes nicely, but allowed him to make a larger hole where he could work easily. The finished product looked professional and didn’t particularly look like we were hiding a conversion to a mixer valve. Mission accomplished! Two notes: the shower head is cheap and probably not worth installing. Also, the required valve is not included. At the time of my purchase, Amazon did not have the necessary Moen valve available, and my plumber would not install the Amazon recommended generic equivalent. Fortunately for me a plumbing supply was just around the corner and I was able to pick up a verified Moen valve same day.

This Moen shower head and lever is stunning. Love the oval shape of the plate and the shower head has a nice spray. Installation was simple and straightforward. Never second guess buying Moen products always well made.

Value for money: The easiest way to make that horrible old two or three Handel configuration finally retire and set it off to pasture. No cutting into the drywall no tile replacement or repair. This will transform your antique tub shower or shower into a modern pressure balancing valve that can be serviced with commonly available parts years down the road and faceplate upgrades are available for future remodeling.

Used to convert old style "2 handle" bath faucet to single handle faucet. My 25 year old bath valves had a slow drip. Neither the plumber or I could remove the cartridge to replace the rubber gasket, even with the proper tools. The plumber told me that the only way to fix the drip would be to cut out the old valve and replace it with a new one, and quoted me $1800. He said that he would have to access the valves through the exterior stucco so that he does not damage the bath tiles. I decided to search around on the internet to see how hard this conversion would actually be. After gaining the confidence, I decided to go with this kit. All of the parts, materials, and tools cost me a total of about $300. The best part was that I did not have to cut open my stucco to replace this valve. The kit came with a nice template that allowed me to create a cutout to access the valves from the bathroom side.

Not to hard to retrofit a three handle set with this valve , just make sure you order a tub spout with a gate also . Well made and decent quality. You will need to measure the distance between the old valve handles and spout ,a minimum of 6 inches is required due to the size of the trim plate . You also need to order the valve separately.

Moen products are awesome , I still have some of the Moen 62700 shower valves, which are not pressure balanced valves. The trim pak above works perfect with these..

I wanted to convert my old 2-handle tiled shower that was dripping to a 1-handle shower. This item easily covered up the 2 holes and looks very nice. The backing plate is somewhat bigger than most 1-handle showers, but that's needed to cover the 2 holes. The shower head works well. It only has a single setting, but it has nice-feeling stream. The backing plate does not sit completely flush against the wall, but has a foam gasket on the back that fits against the wall to keep the water out. I'm a little concerned that someday it will wear out and start leaking water behind the wall. Maybe I'll need to add some sealant.

My shower began to leak from the hot water side so I changed the rubber washer inside many times but because of the metal corrosion the washers didn't do the job any more I bought this kit and the appropriate valve and I haven't had a problem since! You need to be handy to install this your self or your bf has to really really like you lol but it works great!

This was perfect for my old tap retrofit, smaller than the large transition plate offered by moen.

Best for retrofit installs without damaging the tiles, use with any Moen posi-temp shower faucet rough.

I had this installed by a plumber 4 months ago. The diverter is terrible!! See video. The set cost over $140 + plumber labor! Hopefully they’ll send me a new diverter! Ridiculous!

Used parts and missing parts. Had to buy a whole new kit. Havent tried for a refund yet.
