“We’ve met before, haven’t we?” A mesmerizing meditation on the mysterious nature of identity, Lost Highway, David Lynch’s seventh feature film, is one of the filmmaker’s most potent cinematic dreamscapes. Starring Patricia Arquette and Bill Pullman, the film expands the horizons of the medium, taking its audience on a journey through the unknown and the unknowable. As this postmodern noir detours into the realm of science fiction, it becomes apparent that the only certainty is uncertainty.DIRECTOR-APPROVED BLU-RAY SPECIAL EDITION FEATURESNew 4K digital restoration, supervised and approved by director David Lynch, with new 5.1 surround DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrackAlternate uncompressed stereo soundtrackPretty as a Picture: The Art of David Lynch, a feature-length 1997 documentary by Toby Keeler featuring Lynch and his collaborators Angelo Badalamenti, Peter Deming, Barry Gifford, Mary Sweeney, and others, along with on-set footage from Lost HighwayReading by Lynch and critic Kristine McKenna of excerpts from their 2018 book, Room to DreamArchival interviews with Lynch and actors Patricia Arquette, Bill Pullman, and Robert LoggiaEnglish subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearingPLUS: Excerpts from an interview with Lynch from filmmaker and writer Chris Rodley’s book Lynch on Lynch Review: Great - Great movie, great service Review: Great movie, great edition - Love this 4k movie. That it was David Lynch that made this! Nothing more needs to be said!
I have yet to see a bad David Lynch film. And really all I need to know is that it was David Lynch that made this film. Lost Highway is a GREAT film as are ALL of his films!

A Surreal Erotic Odyssey
Criteron Collection always do solid work and it’s no different here. The transfer is great and the film looks fantastic. It has a few bonus features including interviews and a full length documentary on the art of David Lynch. As for the film itself, like all of Lynch’s work it is dark and surreal. Not my favorite of his filmography but absolutely worth watching. I’ve seen a lot of people say this is Lynch’s ode to Neo-Noire but if felt more akin to his take on an erotic thriller to me.

Gran película. Un enigma dentro de un misterio. Más que resolverlo hay que experimentar la película y dejarse llevar. En esta versión se ve y se escucha increíble.

An excellent David Lynch movie! Part of the description says, A mesmerising meditation on the mysterious nature of identity! It's perplexing in a good way! LOST HIGHWAY "this Blu Ray" has a 4K restoration, a new 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack! And extras, with interviews with Dir: David Lynch, actors Patricia Arquette, Bill Pullman & Robert Loggia! Beautifully Shot! With an excellent sound track, which I'll photo of! A note of trivia is Bill & Patricia's house is actually one of David Lynch's, in his compound residence!

As a longtime fan of David Lynch's work, I've always felt that Lost Highway was a visual and sonic masterpiece that never quite got the home video treatment it deserved. Criterion's new 4K UHD release changes that completely. This is the definitive edition, and it's an absolute must-buy. The new 4K transfer, supervised by Lynch himself, is a revelation. The film's signature contrast between deep, suffocating blacks and vibrant, saturated reds is stunningly rendered with Dolby Vision HDR. Details that were murky in previous releases now pop with clarity, from the grainy texture of the film stock to the unsettling shadows in Fred Madison's house. It truly feels like watching the film in a new light, or rather, in a new darkness. The audio is equally impressive. The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack brings Trent Reznor's score and Angelo Badalamenti's compositions to life in a way that is both immersive and unsettling. The mix is dynamic, with dialogue remaining perfectly clear even during the film's most chaotic and bass-heavy sequences. The unsettling sound design, a hallmark of Lynch's work, has never been so effective. Beyond the perfect A/V presentation, the set includes a fantastic array of special features. The highlight is the feature-length documentary, Pretty as a Picture: The Art of David Lynch, which is an essential companion piece. Archival interviews and excerpts from his book, Room to Dream, round out a comprehensive package that offers a wealth of insight into this elusive film. In summary, if you're a fan of Lost Highway, this is the upgrade you've been waiting for. If you've never seen the film, there has never been a better way to experience this bizarre, hypnotic, and unforgettable cinematic fugue state.

Wow! I'm over joyed that one of my favourite films is FINALLY represented properly! The 4K UHD version is impeccable. I blasted it on 5.1 surround sound and nearly cried at how crisp and gorgeous the transfer is. I don't know what to say other than if you love Lynch and this kinda film, nothing tops this criterion addition. Thank you CRITERION xoxoxoxo

Se ve increíble y se disfruta más. Antes en dvd la imagen se apreciaba demasiado oscura y el audio tenía detalles.
