A great alternative!
So it’s only been 24 hours since I started using this, but here’s how it went: I got the small- I’m 28 and have not had kids. When I got it, it ended up being towards the end of my period, so a light flow. I was more comfortable starting then anyway, I was less concerned about leaking and much of a mess. I folded it and used according to the diagrams and didn’t have any trouble. Compared to inserting a tampon with an applicator, it does feel like you’re going deeper. There won’t be anything external (like a string with a tampon). It also seemed like it didn’t “pop” open all the way from being folded. I read some reviews that said that’s okay, so I went with it. Again, I had very light flow and wasn’t overly concerned. In the end there wasn’t any leaking. I wore it for several hours and had no issues. I was nervous about suction and taking it out, but didn’t have issues there. I specifically chose this one because of the ball at the end, it really does make it easier to take out I think. There was a little bit of suction (and it did make a noise lol). With inserting and removing, I did have one foot on the edge of the tub, which seemed to give me the angle I needed. I put it back in to wear overnight. In the middle of the night, I woke up and I noticed some very mild cramping/pressure where it was placed. It could definitely have been that I didn’t have it exactly right, or from using tampons previously. It wasn’t anything that would stop my normal activities or prevent me from using it again. Overall, I’m pretty happy with how it’s going! The price was amazing compared to others too.

Is stiff enough to be sure to open
Feels good, just the right stiffness. The box is good to carry a second one to swap and allow washing.

Don't be scared like I was!
Okay so I've always wanted to try these but I was really scared of a scene looking like a Saw movie, just blood everywhere or that it be really uncomfortable lol. I prepped with YouTube videos I strongly recommend but if you don't here are the tips I found to be useful DO NOT PUll THAT STEM IT WILL MAKE A MESS BECAUSE OF SUCTION INSTEAD GO ABOVE THE STEM GRAB HOLD AND SLOW SHIMMY IT OUT. TRY TO KEEP IT STRAIGHT SO CONTENTS STAY IN CUP UNTIL YOU DUMP IT. REMOVE IT BEFORE YOU POOP SO IT DOESN'T COME OUT, MAKE SURE THE CUP IS FULLY OPEN IN THERE OR IT WILL LEAK. I don't know if I'll go back to tampons it's so comfortable, coughing hard doesn't push it out, no irritation from the tampon material or string. But I think the best thing is not worrying about leaks while I slept last night I could stay in bed without the every 2 hour wake up hoping I make it until the dam fully breaks. And the money and panties I'll save lol awesome for so the price. Tampons are so expensive especially when you sometimes get 2 periods a month. Yes I've gotten blood on my finger but barely and that happens sometimes with a tampon. We're grown lol wash your hands and go on your day.

Highly recommended
This is my second SHORDY cup, and I love them! I recommend this brand to all of my friends looking for a good quality and functional menstrual cup. Easy to remove & clean. The size is perfect for me. They make smaller & larger sizes. I don’t experience any leaks. Also I’m obsessed with the powder blue color.

Works but difficult to remove
Generally it worked well there were no leaks and it kept things secure but it was difficult to remove. The pull tab should be longer. Also, some might find the suction uncomfortable. I generally didn’t mind it while wearing but when inserting and removing I felt it.

Love it!
First time trying a period cup and I love it! It’s so much better than using tampons in my opinion. It’s easy to use and definitely saves money. I will say it may be awkward trying to use in a public setting because you have to rinse it at least before putting back in, so it’d probably be a good idea to have a spare one with you if needed.

It is easy to put in, take out and fits comfortably. I've tried 2 different brands of fiscs and the diva cup and none were comfortable. This is so comfortable and fits perfectly. The pull tab/small ball qt the end is smooth where a diva cup has one that feels rough and uncomfortable. I would recommend this to anyone new to using these. And I have heavy periods as I have endometriosis and I can go many hrs with any leaks. Has not leaked yet.

Finally!! A menstrual cup that works for me, I’ve tried 3 different ones and the menstrual disc, I was always leaking with those one from day 1, tried in different cycles and nothing, I was hopeless but I’ve decided to give a chance to another one, I’m happy I did, I’ve only used it for one cycle but I’m happy with this one! It stays in the place, it’s harder than other ones but I think I don’t need such a flexible cup because I ended up leaking with those. I’ve had two babies and my periods are on the heavier side, this works great.

This is the first menstrual cup I ever used. At first, it was really good, couldn't feel it all. Then I realized my cramps were getting much worse- extending to the last day of my period, which never happens to me. I realized the material of the cup is too stiff for my body, as my cramps immediately went away when I took it out. Other than that, it worked really well- a bit of learning curve, but so much cleaner feeling in the long run. I will try another cup and see if it works for me, but I'm sure this one will work for many :)

I tried a diva cup and nixxit and I found they didn’t work for me. My twin sister recommended a try an amazon brand and I was shocked to find that this one worked great and fit me. It is also a way better price, color and design than the more expensive brands. Also, I love the plastic case. It feels cleaner than a cloth bag. Also the shape makes it stay in place, but it also is easier to remove. Thanks so much!

This review is just my experience. Someone else's experience may be different. I have tried 2 other menstrual cups, (Diva, and Athena) which were great. I switched from Diva (size S) to Athena because I didn't want a transparent cup because the silicone stains and it also leaked, so I got a solid black one from Athena (size L) which was perfect for my body and it didn't stain. I have never had kids, I am 28 years of age, and I have severe endometriosis. But I have a somewhat medium to heavy flow and the cups directed for people who have never had kids leaked (was too small). Sooooo. The reason I chose this brand is because the brand I normally would prefer is sold out on the solid black colour, so here we are. This cup from Shordy looked promising. I liked the solid dark green colour and it had a size large which is the size I normally get. It came in a cute little plastic case which I liked. Now. What I didn't like about this cup immediately was how stiff the silicone is. It is really stiff compared to the other cups I have tried. This cup is also very thick. So the combination of thick and stiff made it feel like it was super large as well. This cup was hard to insert properly and once it was inserted properly it was uncomfortable and somewhat painful. The reason I like menstrual cups so much is because you can't feel them once they're inserted properly and have the right size. This cup by Shordy (size Large) was too stiff and too large for me and to me it was very uncomfortable to insert and very uncomfortable to wear, and it was painful to remove. It's a nice brand and the quality seems nice too. However it was just not for me. If you're a person, who like me, is 28 years and has never had a baby, but your flow is a little heavier, and by chance happen to have severe endometriosis, you may not feel comfortable wearing this cup. Just because it is very thick and the silicone is stiff. The size smaller might have been a better fit for me, but knowing how stiff this product is I am not inclined to try the smaller size.
